I asked this question and was surprised at some of the answers. I figured to ask it again.

How many times have you been in a pool and that surge of cold air catches your bladder? Well, this evening I was at the local YMCA. After my hour on the treadmill I decided it was time for a nice swim in the pool. I was the only one in the pool area. Wouldn't you know it as I was slowly getting into the pool, I got that surge you feel from the cold water that makes you have to pee. Well, since I was the only one in this huge pool that smell of chlorine, I decided to just pee in the pool. No one else was around, so why not. I figured, why get out, walk all the way to the locker room just to pee. I am sure I was not this first woman to ever do this. I am curious how many other ladies have done a similar thing?

I would think that those who DON"T pee in the pool are in the minority.

You'd be surprised how many people do it who say they don't. I was a lifeguard for 5 years and people would get a faint yellow line around them for just a second, then it would go away. Pool managers know this, and put way more chlorine in the pools than they really need.

Yes I pee in the pool all the time. The chlorine kills the germs. I only have one kidney and half a bladder so I just can't help it.

Urine is normally sterile, so there are no germs. It's an aesthetic thing if you're healthy. However if you have a urinary infection you shouldn't do it.

yuck, NO! that would mean i would be swimming in my own pee! ewwww that's so gross! i hate people who do that! i hope they'd give respect to others who are swimming with them.

hey bubbles, don't you generalize. for selfish reason, i don't pee in the pool because i have no intention whatsoever to swim in my own pee. got it?
