A couple day ago I was at school in band when out of nowhere there was this burst of pressure that made my head yank to the side. It was gone almost immediately and this has happened before, but still, should I be worried?

Last night, I went to a Billy Talent concert. The concert had loud music going on from 7pm to about 11. After the concert, my ears were ringing, and I thought it was normal because that's what usually what happens, and I thought it would go away by the next morning. However, I woke up and it was still ringing (but it has decreased). My friends said that their ears have gone back to normal already, I'm scared! How long will it take for my ears to get back to normal? (I've read questions from other users and the answers are scary).

My 15 year old daughter has had pain in her left leg, more so the knee and lower leg, for about a year now. I though that it may have been growing pains. With in the past 4 months the paid has gotten wore and I took her the pediatrician, then sent her to and orthopedic doctor. They took an MRI and said that it showed that she had fluid in her distal femur. That I need to take her to an orthopedic oncologist and have a biopsy done. We went and they did a bone scan with contrast and that came back negative for Leukemia, but they said the frustrating part is, they didn't know what it was. We were then sent to another orthopedic oncologist and they ordered a MRI with contrast, which mind you she had an allergic reaction to then took a trip down to the ER.Well I call the doctor ask for the results of the MRI and he says that she has bruising of her bone. No treatment, to come back in 3 to 4 weeks.I did manage to have the doctor take her out of gym until we see him again.she doesn't do sport of any kind.has anyone heard of this???

I'm 21 and healthy atm but through ages 18-20 I frequently had 5- or 6-hr nights, then catch up on weekends. I'm rarely tired during the day because I move and my nutritional intake is well-balanced. However, I'm gone the minute my head hits the pillow and a few seconds later I find that the clock is 8, 9, or 10 hrs later than when I hit the sack. I rarely get dreams and even when I drank a quart of water before bed it holds till morning. Oh, and I normally wake up still sleepy.

I mostly go to bed at around 12 or 1 AM and wake up at 7 to my alarm clock. However, this past month I haven't been able to wake up on time--my alarm goes full blast in my ear at 6:40 for 1 minute, snoozes automatically for 9 minutes and goes off again over the next hour. Most days I find myself waking up at 9 having heard nothing at all--and my mom in the next room gets cranky because between 6:40 and 8:00 she'd had to wake up every nine minutes.

What's wrong with me? How can I normalise my waking pattern?

I live in Wisconsin. Drinking is a very social thing here. I myself like to have a few on the weekends, and on very rare (especially lately) weekdays. I have had a minor issue since as far as I can remember. When I drink any amount more then 2-3 I will easily fall asleep, but wake up about 4 hours later. When I say wake up, I don't mean to use the bathroom, I mean just wake up. I'll feel groggy, and "hung-over" but mainly it's because I just didn't get enough sleep. I know from past experiences that if I really tried I would eventually fall asleep a few hours later. I just wonder if there is a medical reason for this. And I don't always drink the same thing, sometimes beer, sometimes mixers.

Last night, I cried for hours, and I cried myself to sleep. A friend called me around midnight, and we cried some more together. This morning, I wake up, and my eyelids are ridiculously swollen! The entire lid is puffed up and soem of it is hanging over my eye and making my eyes a completely different shape! How do I get the swelling to go down? Will it go away soon?! I can't go out like this!

What should I do to relieve the symptoms?

2007-02-03 03:46:35 · 6 answers · asked by Nina 3

My husband was diagnosed as an epileptic when he was 12, he has focal siezures, petite mal, and grand mal. We've been together for 4 yrs now and he has not had a grand mal yet, and stress seems to trigger it. He is really stressed out right now (I won't get into it) and is pretty depressed. I'm worried that a big seizure will come up soon. He drives alot for his work, and I am constantly worries he might wreck. He's wrecked before due to a seizure. We don't have insurance and he is the type that hates doctors, so any advice now besides saying he should see a Dr. would be appreciated. We also have a six month old girl and he is a little worried she might have siezures. Her Dr. tells us that is unlikely, but what do you think? Also, what kind of things can we do to help him from having a seizure or being shaky sometimes that I may not know. I'm curious about your experiences. Thank you.
