The burst radius of the standard M67 fragmentation grenade is 15 meters for casualties. But had better be behind something if it was that close.

As far as you can get! Grenades impressed me greatly when in the Army. Not anything close to "the movies." The earth shakes! Had a buddy get a Purple Heart...in combat, he threw a grenade & ducked into his foxhole, but had his hand on the top rim of the foxhole...caught some shrapnel. So, it can get you even if you throw it. Time your throw for it to explode in the air & you get a shower of killing shrapnel!

Well, Osama, I woul dhave guess it depends on the size of the grenade. But I would assume as far as you can get away from it.

5 meters is the kill radius, an additional 10 meters is "shrapnel" radius.
