I work with the public and often feel like I am going to get a cold/flu. I've been sucking on some Hall's Defense drops for several weeks. The package says that each drop is one day's allowance of vitamin C.
So I am continually sucking on them at work - one or two a day. I do this for other medical reasons. If I suck on one or two of them a day can that hurt my body in the short or long term?

Hello there...

I have a small question for all of u folks who perform blood draws by syringes....when u draw the patient's blood and proceed to empty the syringe in the test tube...when the syringe is emptied, are there any traces of blood left on the inner walls of it or it looks like it hasnt been used before? So basically, can a nurse not realize that she had used this syringe before?

The reason am asking is coz I went for a blood draw today and I wasnt paying attention so I didnt notice the nurse unwrap a needle...all I saw is her holding the needle and sticking it in my vein..I looked at the needle before she used it and it looked perfectly clean...

i have had no period since oct/nov 2006 and this is probably because i am 6 stone/40 kilos. i am 156cm tall and 19 - apparently severely underweight.

i eat lots of junk food (chocolate and chips and sweet biscuits) plus healthy foods like sandwiches and juice. i cant get my weight above 43 kilos. it just goes in an instant. i went to the drs a few months ago. nothing is wrong with my thyroid. maybe a fast metabolism.

this has made me very depressed and i often get comments like "go to hospital" and you're anorexic". I AM NOT ANOREXIC!

i dont want to be this way. i want to get my period back so i can have kids and feel like a normal woman again.

can someone please help me??

What can i do to stop having a shy bladder? Sometimes I feel like I'm going to die if I don't pee soon but if other people are around i can't go. This is a major problem b/c I live on a dorm and share the barthrooms with 50 other girls...and it's even a bigger problem on soccer bus ride when there is a bathroom on the back of the bus but i can't go b/c i know others are around. how do I solve this problem?

My husband and I had a son almost two years ago and he was born with his right foot severly clubbed. Before 5 months of getting casts on it each week, and one surgery, it looked like it curved up like a candy cane hook. That foot is smaller than the other one and his clalf is smaller than the other leg.
What do you think the odds are that our next child will have the same birth defect?


Also, please keep him in your thoughts as we will be taking him to Kansas City Childrens Mercy for another surgery this month.

I think we've all been advised to use rubbing alcohol to clean a thermometer. I am wondering. If I am the only one using the thermometer, do I need to clean it with alcohol as often?

I am relapsing from bulimia. I got treatment about half a year ago, but I'm having problems again. I really can't handle life anymore. I'm unmotivated, depressed, and can't focus on school. I'm so sick of bingeing and purging all the time.

I want to make an appointment to be on medication again. If I go on medication, will the insurance company send anything to the house or have any sort of record on what I'll be taking. I'm in college right now, so my mom will get the mail. Will they send her anything that might give her the slightest hint that I'm on medication?

Please do not suggest therapy. It is not an option. Also, please do not suggest that I talk to my mom about the relapse.

Hi my stomach hurts so bad, like i am not hungry, and it feels like there is a huge weight in there it just hurts real bad do any of you have any ideas on how to help it? I don't feel like eating something thick, but like soup something thin sounds OK. i have went to the bathroom (lol) and i just don't know what's wrong.
