Make a tonic of apple cider vinegar and water. Approximately 2 tbls. in an 8 oz, glass of water. Before eating, if possible. Take tonic before and after meals. Increase your water intake by drinking water at every hour you are awake. At least one glass. You will be healthier too. Read the book, you're not sick, you're thirsty. Read about ACV on the web. There are tons of websites about water. It will clean out your colon. There is where the smell comes from.

I agree with the last two answerers. This can be a result of a specific food. Since you are having the problem relatively regularly, it may be a food you eat regularly. A common one is onion. Some gastroenterologists suggest keeping a "Flatulogram" to chart foods (when ate) and farts (when lit) to see a connection if you are unable to see it yourself.

You might have a problem with specific foods. Dairy products do this to some people. Keep a list of all the food and times you eat and see if anything is correlated with your gas. You can then cut out the offending food. You can also try taking "probiotics" such as acidophillus (this is also in yoghurt). Probiotics help regulate your digestive system.

if you eat loads of red meat along with carbs, it will create gas... meat is the last thing to digest and carbs the first.. I learned this on Oprah from her dietician.. So you need to eat meat with stuff like salads only and your carbs a different time... otherwise you will end up with a gut of rotting meat which according to that dietician might hang around for 3 days putrifiying before it digests.. eww!..

It could be IBS (irritational bowel syndrome). I have that problem. Excuse me for being graphic, but I either have a very weak stomach where I have diarrhea or I am very constipated and I have gas. See a doctor. They might have medication for relief. Or try metimucil or something that regulates fiber. Also, watch what you eat. It can make a difference in your stomach. I am addicted to fruit but must have it in moderation b/c of my weak stomach.

Check on this things you eat, drink more water, chew your food at least 20 times before swallowing and if you eat any food high in sugar, like legumes, take one Beano available at the drug store. That should help

it may be some foods eat eating causing it... you maybe allergic to potatoes, wheat, dairy or another food... you may not get the reaction right away.. keep a food diary...
your natural colon bacteria maybe out of balance, so take some acidophiles..
you should also clean your system out.... try some essiac tea..

reduce yeast production foods, as sugar, wheat, corn, potatoes and dairy....

irs okay, everyone farts. It's part of life. If you keep on farting a lot, try staying away from beans, meat, eggs, or anything with fat. Try eating salad or noodles (with no meat). Stay away from meat.
