hi my name is luis. im 18 and plan on becoming either a pedeatriton or a surgon. now my question is this. after all my schooloing, what are my next steps to getting hired by a practice or a hospital? please help

its pediatrician or surgeon, ( in the U.K. its spelled Paediatrician )first you have to practice your spelling... then do well on your MCAT, go to pre-med, go to med school, pass the boards, get yourself to a good residency program, take your specialty board become a fellow of your specialty, then you will either be invited to join a practice, apply to a certain group of practice or start your own practice...

Yes, you mean Paediatrician or Surgeon.
Firstly, good on you for wanting to do medicine.
However, it is a hard, long road, so make sure you want to do it for the right reasons and then commit to it.
The hardest thing about medicine often, is getting into medical school. This depends on where you live in the world.
In Australia (where I live) most medical schools are moving to post graduate programs (ie you need an undergraduate degree before you can enter). Once you have finished medical school, you do an internship, then some more hospital year(s) looking to get onto a training program. You are probably looking at at least 6-10 years after finishing med school before you are qualified in paediatrics or surgery.

Hey Luis.....im trying to look for the same help....but i think theres another topic on that.....like....catagory....maybe like edjucation or something but I dont know......theres probably doctors on here but if not go to the edjucation section and it might help to
