I fell back in July. My shoulder hurt for awhile, then it stopped. It's been sore on and off since then depending on physical activity and if I sleep hard on it. Not a bad pain, but I can feel it when it is acting up. What type of doctor should I see?

Some people say that reading a book makes them drowsy, thus leading to better sleep. Others say that the brain is very much active when a person is reading, therefore it isn't the best thing to do before sleep, because it makes your mind alert. Which one is it? Also, what things could be done before bedtime to improve sleep, be able to fall asleep faster and have a deeper, restorative sleep?

I've gone to the doctor and he suggested that it might be allergies, but I don't seem to get relief from nasal spray or allergy medication. I have tried hydrogen peroxide, warmed up olive oil, and cleaning out my ears with q-tips and none of it has seemed to help (in fact, it kind of makes it worse). I have no ear PAIN, although i have noticed that if i touch the back of my throat on the right side with my tongue (the side where my ear feels clogged) it is sensitive and the clogged feeling gets worse. Yes, the clogged feeling is only in one ear. the doc ran tons of hearing tests and looked at my ears and said they look fine. i've looked this question up and saw that tmj was a possibility but i really don't ever experience jaw problems...so what the hell is this clogged feeling that persists, and, more importantly, what can I do about it?

It's been almost a week, but the dentist told me not to make any sucking motions, like smoking, sucking through a straw, etc. But I have asthma, and I've been having breathing troubles lately. Do you think it'd be safe to take my inhaler?

Whenever I have gone to a doctor(including dentists) it seems like the nurses and assistants are the only ones who have done the tests on me? the doctor comes in later, seems to take a quick look, and ask me if i have any questions. I have also noticed that the nurses all wear white, and the doctor wears regular clothes. do they have to do a lot of paper work and business crap. and why does it seem like the nurse does most of the "dirty work"

Ever since I was pregnant with my second daughter, and I had very bad morning sickness (vomiting 10-12 episodes a day for almost 5 months) I have been deathly afraid of vomiting and of getting food poisoning. My son is sick with a stomach bug right now and I of course HAVE to help him, but I am washing my hands like a maniac and freaking out inside! Scared to death that I am going to get it! I also compulsively check expiration dates on food to make sure my family or I wont get sick, and I wont eat certain things (even if I want them) because I think it will make me sick! I wanted to go on a cruise so bad, but I am afraid I will get sick on one because of the outbreaks on them! This IS NOT NORMAL! Does anyone else feel this way, if so what the heck do I do about it?? I never used to be like this!

My problem is that I can't get asleep at night, and when I do,which occurs not before 5 am, I can't get up easy, I feel as I haven't sleep at all, although I stand up at 16 o'clock!!??! Now, I feel tired and I want to sleep, but I can't fall asleep!!?? What's the problem? Last few months, the only drink I've drank is coca-cola, and now, I've made a correlation between my current problem and caffeine in cola. So, my question is, is it possible that it was caused by coke? Have anybody any proposal what am I supposed to do in order to resolve this problem? Thank you, I appreciate your answer!

I can pop both of my wrists, shoulders, hands, ankles, knees, elbows, my back, my neck, and all of my fingers and toes repeatedly. No one in my family can. I don't understand why I can and they cannot.

So i try to brush my tongue, but it is just damn nearly impossible for me because i have really bad gag reflex.. So bad, the dentist could not put the Xray thing in my mouth to take a picture.

Any recommendations on how to overcome this? Or do i have this for the rest of my life? Its bad, and really uncomfortable a lot of the times. I Can't even gargle mouthwash.
I use to be able to, but not in the past couple of years.

Thank you in advance

PLEASE, COULD ONLY MEDICAL DOCTORS ANSWER THIS QUESTION, IF POSSIBLE.

I used to do a lot of screaming about last year in June. So, the next morning when I woke up, I felt this immense pain/inflammation right in the middle of the neck/throat.

Since then, I did not raise my voice and also couldn't raise it anyway. It still hurts slightly when I talk, not to mention the discomfort I feel when I speak. Although, I recently went to see my doctor and said that, I was having "post-nasal drip", but I have not yet told her, that I used to scream at one stage. She also seen an indication of an infection due to the post-nasal drip, down in the middle of the throat.

At the moment, I can speak, but I always tend to talk softly so that I don't cause pain or stress to the throat. It is difficult to live like this. What has happened to me, really? Did I really damage anything?
