Question

i need to find how popular the drug heroin is,......
how popular cocaine is........
and how popular alcohol is.......

i was think i could do it is statistics and persentages but i cant find anything so please help me, no stupid answers please and i need really percentages

I was surprised by the statistics on heroin; approximately 2.6% of U.S. population uses it. That is 6.2 million people age 12 and up who are currently using the drug. Having worked for years in the E.R., I thought it would be a lot higher. Unfortunately, the link to the site does not work so all I got was the blurb on the search page.

Cocaine or crack - approximately 3 to 4 million people are chronic users but I could not find any statistics on the total number who use that aren't chronic. Probably because this is so highly addicted that casual users are not casual for long. Also the latest statistics I could find were from 1997 so it is probably slightly higher now.
