How does extracting bone marrow tell you why you are not producing enough red blood cells. My mother is 88 and her body is not producing enough red blood cells. She's always tired, anemic, tremors, etc.

i got a tuberculosis test done yesterday the one where they inject you right under the skin. well i was just wondering what is normal and what is not normal. what do they look for if you have tb. like i want to know what to look for so i no if i have it or not because i am paranoid when it comes to these things. and another question i thought the tb test was a four pronged thing. if its not do you know what test that is?? any help would be wonderfull thanks.

I've had strep throat for the 2nd time in less than two months (I'm looking into seeing a ear, nose and throat specialist about having my tonsils out in case I'm a carrier) and for some reason, the whole time I sick, I salivate constantly. Why is this?

Also, Just how much snot can the human head hold? I must have used 3 boxes of kleenex already.

I am training to run the Pike's Peak Ascent in Colorado Springs, CO., but I live on the East Coast. The Pike's Peak event is 13 miles long and covers approx. 7800 vertical feet. I'm a serious runner and have run marathons, half-marathons, 10 milers, etc. so I know how to train for the distance, but don't know how to simulate the lower oxygen levels found at high altitudes.

I've seen the hypoxic chambers that elite athletes use, but I'm not sure I can get regular access to one (or afford to buy my own!). I'm hoping there are other potential solutions.

I just dont see the point why they inject you with the flu so that you dont get the flu. But the thing is that it gives you the flu right after you have the shot. I'm not worried about not getting the flu next year, may not even be alive next year. I never even get sick so really what is the point?

I know drugs are bad. I 'tried' weed, I possibly had 4-5 puffs almost a month ago. I have to do a pre employment screening, I was worried so I brought an at Home FDA approved test, and the results were negative for Marijuana/THC. Is there a chance that the lab will find THC that the at home test did not?

Ever notice how people smile when they see a small child? It doesn't seem to matter if it is a human baby or an animal baby. We all seem to smile when we see the youth of the world.

Whatever happens that makes us hate each other so badly as we get older?
