I just dont see the point why they inject you with the flu so that you dont get the flu. But the thing is that it gives you the flu right after you have the shot. I'm not worried about not getting the flu next year, may not even be alive next year. I never even get sick so really what is the point?

inactive (dead) virus that stimulates the immune system to produce antibodies ( with the immune system 'primed' it will destroy the flu virus before it has had a chance to reproduce and spread therefore either preventing the flu or making it much less severe)

SINCE THE VIRUS IS INACTIVE IT CAN NOT CAUSE THE FLU but your body will produce antibodies and in some people that process can cause a VERY MILD reaction ( slight fever and the 'blahs' ) a few people ( 1 in a few million have had an allergic reaction - but these same people with the flu would definitely DIE fast - as soon as the virus started reproducing ! ) GET THE SHOT !

Well, the shot consists of the most common strains going around at the time. So you are not protected from every strand of flu when you get the shot. And yes, some people do get sick after getting it because they are indeed injecting you with small amounts of the flu virus.

Many people get them in hopes that they will be able to avoid getting the flu. Some others have to get them. The elderly get them because a flu can be a very serious thing for the. Also those who work with elderly usually have to get them too. People with certain health problems and their families also have to get the shot; such as diabetics.

They do not inject you with a live virus. You cannot get the flu from the vaccination.
The flu kills many people each year. Those most vulnerable to the flu are: young, elderly, anyone with compromised immune systems, breathing problems etc.
If you as a healthy person contract the flu you could pass it on to someone you know who is one of the above listed vulnerable people.

The point of the flu shot is to make a profit for the manufacturers.

Do NOT get vaccinated.

A vaccinated person is MORE likely to get a disease than a non-vaccinated person. The whole theory of vaccination is flawed. It causes a weakening of the immune system thus making those who are innoculated more susceptible to disease.
There are so many awful side effects to vaccination that it should be considered extremely dangerous.
Just sit back and think for a while.
Is there any sense in injecting a disease directly into your body.
We have been subjected to an awful mind control program to enable the drug manufacturers to make a fortune.

My point exactly. That's why I NEVER get a flu shot. I've only had a bad case of the flu a few times in my life. I don't think the flu shot is necessary unless you are one of those people who gets sick very easily during the winter.

That's a myth. The shot contains the DEAD virus, not live. It cannot make you sick (another myth). The flu kills thousands of people every year. That's why if you are very young, elderly or have diseases like cancer, diabetes, respiratory problems, you MUST get the flu shot. People with those conditions/ages cannot fight off infections.

You don't get the flu after you get the shot. That is a myth. I used to think the same way as you did but then I realized that I could be carrying it and infecting other people (typhoid Mary). I never get sick and I still get the shot.

The idea is to give you a small dose of the flu via the vaccination. Then your bodies immune system is stimulated to produce antibodies to kill existing virus and be on guard for new ones invading your body.

the flu shot doesn't prevent you from getting the flu but it will help make the symptoms less severe.

You might get slightly sick from the innoculation, but the real influenza has killed hundreds of thousands...it's quite lethal to many who get it and others spend weeks in bed.
