You don't get sick from the flu shot, it's an inactivated or dead virus. You might get a slight fever and maybe a few aches and pains, but I got my flu shot too and didn't get any of those. Just the sore arm, for about 3 days, but the second day was the worse. Sometimes when they give you a shot they hit the muscle a certain way and that's probably what's making your arm hurt. Take some Tylenol, that will help the pain, and also control the fever if you happen to get one. But like I said, I didn't, I never have and I've been getting flu shots since I was a kid.

P.S.- I think that's BS that the flu shot does more harm than good. My first year of college I didn't get a flu shot, I got the flu and then ended up with meningitis, I don't think that would have happened had I gotten a shot. My daughter also gets the flu shot, she has Asthma and it's very important to protect her from the complications of the flu. Thousands of people die each year from the flu, it's not a simple sickness, and increasing your vitamin c does not prevent it. Just make sure you are getting enough vitamin c for overall health and wash your hands frequently.

First, you cannot get sick from a flu shot, it is a sterile virus. You should have gotten your shot in the arm you use most so it doesn't get sore. You need to move it alot so it will quit hurting. I have gotten flu shots every year for the past 5 and haven't been sick since.

Getting the flu shot is much more harmful to your body than the flu itself.

In the future, just take extra doses of vitamin C during the flu season. That will strengthen your immune system, and not cause the damage flu shots cause.

20% chance of getting sick from the shot itself.

Some people are better at administering the shots than others are....that's all. Have it checked if it doesn't go away in a couple of days..otherwise, you needn't worry.
