Usually Methadone does not show up because most people aren't testing for it. If Methadone is an opiate then there is no reason for it to not show up. I eat methadone too babe and I would suggest flushing your system before the test, just to be on the safe side.

No, it would not show as an opiate on a 'normal' drug test (basic screening test). Methadone is an opioid, not an opiate. But don't assume that a 'normal' drug test won't also be testing for methadone.
