i develop into ill for the ultimate 2 months of my being pregnant. Your immune equipment is depressed once you're pregnant so it takes an exceedingly extremely lengthy time period to get over even a small ailment. when you're wheezing, then you actually aren't to any extent further getting oxygen and hence, you infant isn't getting acceptable oxygen, that's worse than taking a secure medicine. you're on your 2d trimester, you're waiting to take better drugs effectively, so bypass see your clinical specialist. they gained't grant you with some thing that could want to damage your infant. For the drainage, blow your nostril each and every jiffy and the submit nasal drip might want to subside. For the wheezing, albuterol (ventolin) inhaler is what I used and develop into completely secure. Antihistamines will dry you up too.

Sorry sweetheart - the only thing you can take is paracetomol. I remember having a cold when I was pregnant and it's not nice. You just have to put up with it. Everyone kept offering me things not knowing I was pregnant. They just thought i was being a martyr and suffering for no good reason!!

Good luckxx

Check with your midwife but mine told me that i could only take paracetamol and NOTHING else!
Until you can talk to her, try putting your head over a pan of boiling water with a tea towel over your head. The steam should help to clear your nose a bit and may relieve the headache.

Hope you feel better soon!!

When I was pregnant, my doctor said I could take Benadryl over the counter and Dymatap cough and cold medicine, but I would ask your doctor first.

You can use some saline nose spray because there is no medication in it. Other than that....NOTHING.

A cold lasts 5-7 days...whether you take something or not. Any medications you take go right into the baby as well.

paracetamol babe.
My dad's tried and tested rule and also used frequently by me is to put on layers of clothes, get into bed and sweat it out. It will make you stink and feel dirty but I reckon your cold could well be on its way out in the next 24 hours!! Give it a go and see how you feel. You will need a shower after tho!!!
Take care.

You should be able to take paracetamol safely - you should still check with your Dr/Midwife/Pharmacist though - or if in the UK call NHS Direct and they can advise you 0845 46 47

If you have a doctor, please consult with him/her. Better to be safe than not. Most over the counter medicines should be safe enough since. Avoid alcoholic ones. Drink soups and tell your hubby or whoever to take care of you!

Call your doctor, but I think you can take Robitussin and Dimetapp. At least, my friend did when she was pregnant and her baby was born ok...
