My kids came home from my inlaws where they stayed the night. About an hour later I put her in the tub and she started calling me because there were fleas in the water. Some were up the side like they were trying to run. My mother in law has had fleas for a long time. They don't really care to get rid of them though. I have even bought her flea drops for her dog and my kids say she throws it away. She doesn't have carpet, so they must be bad. I have never seen such a thing. Now I worry that they are in my daughters hair (shes only six yrs old) or may have got in my house, carpet, etc. Also, when my mother in law visits she may carry them in herself. If my kids had them from 24 hours of visiting then she obviously does. How can I make sure they aren't in my house or on my daughter? I tried the lamp and water trick any other serious suggestions would be appreciated.

Sometimes when I'm sleeping my leg will randomly twitch and wake me up. Does anyone know what causes the twitch? I've heard that it's quite common. Is there anything I can do about it or do I just deal with it?

My daughter had a reaction to penicillin and was given "anti-hive" Claritin for it. She still has the rash/hives. How long should I wait to see results and for the hives to go away before I contact the doctor again? THANKS!

Here's the thing~ I have, for a very long time, had unusual and problematic sleeping habbits, mostly in maintaining a normal circadean rhythm. I often slept during the day, was awake all night, and never went to bed at the same time. For about the past month I have done much better, so much that I have seemed almost "normal" in my sleeping.

But the past week it has kinda turned around. Wednesday night I felt very strangely and couldn't sleep until well after the sun came up. I have tried to go to bed at reasonable times after that, and have set my alarm for 9am, but I have been consistantly sleeping until well after noon. I've been feeling like a brick in the mornings, and pulling myself out of bed has felt like pulling a bus up a steep hill. I'm usually extremely groggy, and it usually takes me hours before it totally goes away.

I would really like to find a solution to this, peferably one that doesnt involve expensive medical treatment. Blessings and thanks to all who answer!

It's not a zit. It's an internal lump in my earlobe that is not squishy, and is fairly small. It doesn't really hurt. I just want to know what the heck it is?!?

I can see normally with my glasses or contacts. However, when I have my glasses on, everything appears much thinner and slightly more defined versus my contacts. I wear my contacts usually, but at night when I put back on my glasses, it seems like everything got smaller and thinner

Is there a reason for this? I do have astigmatism and my glasses are corrective lenses while my contacts are not toric. Could this have something to do with it? I thought astigmatism usually just makes things blurrier.

Any help is appreciated!

I know this may sound really stupid but how many times should a person bathe in one day? I take a shower once a day and my best friend says that's disgusting because she showers twice a day. I was just wondering if twice a day is the average people shower a day?
