Magazines, books, movies (if he has a t.v. and vcr in his room). Something that will let him know you care and at the same time take his mind off the situation.

A good book, some magazines like Sports Illustrated, or a hand held game. Guys like flowers, too. They brighten up a hospital room.

I have spent many weeks in the hospital. My all time favourite gift was a newspaper. I felt out of touch with the world. OK I also trained my friends to bring Starbucks coffee. It was so good also.

maybe a get well soon card....some not so girly flowers..a plain get well soon teddy bear...maybe a game to accompany them while they r stuck in dere....

You could take magazines, books, newspapers, or if u wanted more of like a gift thing....a get well card and balloons. =) I hope your friend gets better soon.
