This is in reference to ophthalmic (spectacle) lenses. Some polycarbonate lenses transmit upto 58%UV when checked at 390nm cut-off.

2004 developed Deep Vein Trambosis.(bad blood clots) 18 hrs.I would of been a gonner as I waited 4 days in pure pain to go to E.R.Obviouly my life was spared.I recovered,other issues arose such as Asthma,COPD,my back is destroyed and I had Artiscopic surgery on right knee.I had to wait 7 days as I had to be off thinners in order for them to repair me.A week later blooding clotting came back but it was not the painful ones,"Deadly but Silent One's.I will list my medications but there is one that so many people think is for drug users so that it will help any withdrawls.I am by far of any such user.1)
Methadone-80mg a day.2)cyclobenzaprine 1 to 2 by day or night at 10 mg.3)Diazepam 10 mg 1 or 2 tablets twice daily.4)
Tramadol 50 mg 1 -four times daily.After seeing my doctor and time wasted,he stated "it is the medication" just like that.I have a good doctor,but the swelling only started a month ago and it is my second time only.but it is very painful,and ugly looking.Any Intel???

If I take a Calcium supplement vitamin right before bed, will it keep me up at night? Most likely my stomach would be empty too...

The pill consists of:

Vitamin D: 50%
Calcium: 60%

Has anyone had this problem, if so what did you do?
It started last week my jaw was kind of sore, then it kind of went into my right ear and down my neck some. Then this weekend it went back up to my one tooth, and now there is a couple big blisters in my mouth. I figure its some kind of infection. Don't really want to go to the drs. But figuire I have to. Thanks

I have tried to quit smoking in the past, and found that I have a lot of problems with cravings. I have tried all the solutions, but have found in the last days, that chewing tobacco is very effective in controlling my cravings for nicotene. Is chewing tobacco a good alternative even in the short term to smoking?

She just ends up worrying about every little thing. She watches US news (CNN) but we live in Canada. At least she stopped getting the newspaper but I'm concerned that her constant fretting about the world isn't good for her heart.

i asked this question earlier, but i didnt get enough answered....ive been doing alot of research on this procedure, and also went into a local place for a free consultation, but im still not convinced. Im only 22 and my vision gets worse and worse by the year, i dont want to end up like my dad (old school thick glasses) where its too late for him to have anything done. WHen they went in they said its a good idea to have it done, because lastyear i couldnt see far away, at all, now i cant see far away or close up, and my job revolves around a computer 9 hours a day, and i can only wear glasses to drive. Im really weirded out about being able to see everything and even though i was told it was painless im afraid ill end up having pain (novacain doesnt work on me). Just want to get some opinions from a few people who have had it done before. How it worked, if there were any problems and any other information you could offer...Thanks!

Is there anyone missing their Inferior Vena Cava (IVC) or partially missing one? What type of syptoms do you have because of this? I'm missing my IVC and have frequent chest pains when I'm working out, just wondering if this is the cause.

If you don't know what the IVC is, its the major vein the circulates the blood from your heart through your adominal area and lower pelvic area.

I have quit smoking on a day to day basis, which in itself is a huge accomplishment. I have not smoked on a day to day basis in about 5 years (Iam now 25). My problem comes when I go out to the bars. How can I kick this nasty habit totally??? Any suggestions??

This lasts about until afternoon. I wake up, shower, coffee, breakfast, and nothing helps except sometimes I put a cool washcloth over my eyes for 15 min. and that helps. Any suggestions? Cooling Creams to soothe my eyes?
