Many medications, prescription and nonprescription can cause swelling as you describe.

Antibiotics, such as penicillins, cephalosporins, or sulfa (sulfonamides).
Aspirin as well as other nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs).
Vaccines.
Antiseizure medications.
Barbiturates.
Local anesthetics.
Contrast dyes used in X-ray studies.
Blood products.
Certain enzymes, such as trypsin.

Your doctor sounds like he is presenting some sound advice, especially since the swelling only started a month ago.

From the things you're describing, you'd be heavily injured. Do your self a choose and flow to the emergency room once you could. For destiny reference- ICE for first seventy 2 hours to reduce swelling and soreness. also, have someone make you a sling so that you do not ought to flow it till you get to medical institution.
