That much difference is more common that you may think.

"Everyone" has some difference, but not enough to become a problem.

Better to say, "My right foot is smaller than my left." I was always careful to choose those words.

I don't know your age, but was this just discovered? With so many self serve shoe racks, measurements are almost a thing of the past. Many have to buy two pair. I have seen 2-3 size differences.

Many years ago, before your time, a lady in St. Louis, had a service where she connected ladies with the "opposite" size difference, and arranged for exchanges. She had to charge a small fee, but many ladies benefitted.
Her service was a big success.
With the Internet, I believe it would work again, and with photos.

It is common.

Did this just happen? I mean, are you an adult and your feet always matched but now, all of a sudden, one of them grew by a size & a half?

Or are you really young and just had a growth spurt and one side just hasn't caught up with the other?

I've never known anyone who's feet weren't the same size. That's why shoes come in pairs. You don't buy shoes in singles! These people who are telling you that everyone's feet are like yours are WAY off base!

I would suggest you talk with your doctor about this.

There's nohting wrong. I have the same condition, but my right foot is longer. Infact, my right leg is longer. I will have chronic knee, ankle and foot problems if I don't take care of myself.

Just be sure to make sure shoes actually fit comfortably. And do something like take a yoga class. It will help strengthen the joints so you won't have major problems later.

I've the same problem with my spine. My left leg is 1 inch shorter than the other.Causes no end of problems now ( I'm 40 ).If you are like me,its from birth.Go to your Doctors and try to get it sorted out as you made need, like I do,to see a specialist.Don't worry tho.You aren't some kind of freak. There are LOADS of people with your/my problem and if you see a specialist thru your doc, they'll be able to either make or alter your shoes to fit your feet perfectly.
You don't mention your age,but if you are young you need to do this ASAP.It took the docs 39 years!!!! to diagnose my spine problem and for me its too late. But if you are young, once you are sorted, you'll be fine and you will be the only one who knows.Don't worry.Just see your Doc and you'll be ok.
Hope it helps

A size and a half? Wow, my feet are a half a size apart, but I've never seen or heard of a size and a half. Perhaps you're exaggerating just a touch. But other than that it seems normal.

A size and a half IS a lot, but even I have a slight difference in the size of my feet. everyone does. Just like your eyebrows arent exactly the same.

its usually normal to have one foot bigger than the other. there shouldn't be that much of a difference, but if there is...no big deal just get another size.

Gosh! nothing! Everyone's feet are different! Well, a size and a half, might be a bit let's say over average, but, it's one of those things...
