Besides the temporary side effects which are no big deal. People have told me that antidepressants are dangerous. If anybody has literature on this it would be greatly appreciated. I've been on these drugs for 5 years. They don't work and I hope I'm not screwing my head up even more for being on them. Of course my doctor says they are harmless

I have looked up all the possible side effects etc on the internet and the official website. Recently been prescribed lamictal. Its been increased very slowly. I am curious to what others who are treated with it their "small" side effects. I seem to be having a slight cough shortness of breath nothing I find serious but I didn't expect it and well since its september I am assuming its the change of weather as I always get a cold from season to season. I have no signs of the potentially fatal rash though. I just want to know what others have experienced first hand without a doctors stamp on it.

Of course I can help myself..but why would I need to go a doctor for that. Well helping myself hasen't been working either because I'm depressed again. I have been on and off for 15 years. I always hear depression is the most treatable disease...Is it? All the people I met that I still talk to from my first hospital visit 5 years ago still are profoundly depressed. Some came out of it briefly but will have bad episodes. I've taken all the meds over the years..I'm currently on Lithium and Wellbutrin. I'm really struggling right now. I've never done ECT. I refuse to. Anyway I've seen a lot of doctors and therapists and they seem to say the same cliches. The last one explained to me this DBT. She said she wanted me to go about all day with a forced fake smile. I tried this. It didn't make me feel better....who can think about smiling all day anyway? I don't know I'm just really feling hopeless about my condition

Only once in my life before today had to go to a funeral for a very close friend. It was expected with my other friend though because she had no kidneys. This one came as a complete shock to me. She died on Friday today was her viewing and funeral now she is off to be cremated. I cried all week at the thought that she had died last week and was just sitting there in the funeral home. I went as a family member because I have been with her ex brother in law and all of her neices and nephews and her own son call me aunt. I have been with their uncle for about eight years and everyone knows who I am. Everyday my friend Vicky would call me and would say hey whats up *****. Or what are you doing and we would talk for hours sometimes. I couldn't visit her very often because I don't drive because I have seizures and would have to get a ride over to her house. I already miss her so bad, I can't stop crying. I couldn't even go to her wake after the funeral. I asked my nephew to bring

For me, i'm motivated by others's hardwork and the willingness to go to school; that pushes me to keep studying eventhough i sometimes want to give in.

I ran across this frightening tidbit. Will we have to watch for men in the night, with blank faces and bad social skills, will they talk in a monotone voice before they hurt us?

"People suffering from Asperger's syndrome have no conscience, they cannot empathize with others or show compassion. This makes them appear cold, callous, and downright evil to the outside world. "

They still have that blank look on their face and have bad social skills. They aren't mentally retarded at least.

Before our volleyball game, the best spiker on our team accidentally spiked me in the head (on the side of the face) and it felt like my brain shifted and it hurt so bad. Its been like 6 hours since that happened and my head still hurts - not where I got hit but like inside my head.

Any ideas why?? And when it will stop?

Do any of you with anxiety or panic disorder have a generally fast heart rate all the time?...even when not anxious or in the middle of a panic attack.

My heart has always been fast, but a recent doctor (with bad bedside manners) has decided I'm about to explode any second. Which, of course, I'm sure my heart is racing now due to how anxious she has made me.

Have had 2 EKGs...both showed fast rate, but normal rhythym. I'm going to the cardiologist next week.

I was just thinking about this question, its not a joke or anything, but nobody really could give me an answer. I was just thinking about...what happens if theres a blind person whose also deaf, and can't hear. I mean like........you know what I mean....wouldn't that be such a horrible life to live, being blind, not hearing anything, and not being able to talk, only being able to feel. I don't know, but it would be nice to get someone else's opinion on that. thankyou!

I just did that ignorantass inkblot test at tickle.com amd the things i was seeing were not even freakin listed half the time. What really became a downer for me was there was obviously a pogostick landing in a puddle amd the had some stupidass list of stupidass crap that only totally stupiass freaks would say they saw.

Here's a tip for people required to take an inkblot test: Even if you see 12 violent images beside one tranquil imge, always claim the innocuous image is what you see, or be prepared tobe under freaking scrutiny for the rest of your life by a bunch of jerkoffs only interested in prescribing you drugs for which the will undoubtedly be recieving the most obscenely high kickbacks from the pharmaceutical companies.
