For me, i'm motivated by others's hardwork and the willingness to go to school; that pushes me to keep studying eventhough i sometimes want to give in.

I have a lot of things that motivate me but one of the higher ones on the list is to honor my organ donor. I received a bi-lateral lung transplant on 08/26/04 due to Cystic Fibrosis. All I know about my donor is that he/she died in Tennessee. If I hadn't had the transplant at the time I did I would not be here today.

I hope everyday that I can be more motivated to do something with my life except sit around the house or clean the house. I have a very quiet life. I wish that I could go back to school but unfortunately I cannot get any loans or grants and don't have the money to pay for it myself. I stay motivated though watching my grown children prosper and I am gonna be a Grandma in november to a bouncing baby boy.

What motivates me to push myself everyday to do whatever I need to do is the fact that the doctors told me I would be dead in less than two years. That was in 2003. I am healthier now than I was then and plan to live a good long life. I not only exist every day I live. Just like the song I live like I was dieing.

The best motivation is to have work that you love that is also a service to others or that makes the world better.

So work hard in school so you can get a job that you love and make a difference in the world.

My motivation came from and still comes from a necessity to feed my son, to make sure he has opportunities available to him, and to make sure that he is healthy. With that goal in front of me, I have been able to get an education and form a great career, raise him even though I was faced with great odds, and to continue even when every bone in my body wanted to quit.

Calm your noisy complaining mind by visualizing yourself pushing
away the negative emotions and replacing them with positive thoghts such as: I love this , I can do this , I'm smart. Try to review what others tell you in your mind and at the same time, remove the bad emotions concerning them.

I looked deep inside of me to find my own gifts and talents that I could use - integrity, intelligence, and energy lead me because everyone I come in contact with I affect either positive or negative. Don't ever give up. I don't want to be someone's downfall, even those that I don't think are watching me. We are all connected. So I strive to do my best so they can strive to do their best., etc.

Duty and obligation (or is it guilt?) and love.

The more people who are depending on me, the harder I work.

I am competitive, but the preceeding emotions are my primary motivations.

When I was in school, I was only doing it for me and did not apply myself well.

Now I am older and undereducated, I find I have to work harder than I probably should.

Keep studying now, the work will be easier later, and you will have more choices for your life available to you and your family.

I set goals for myself. I decide what I want out of life and then decide what it will take to get me there.
