Are you seeing a psychiatrist or an established GP? Xanax is the most addictive of the benzos. Ativan is way less so and typically as efficient as Xanax. Klonopin is a more beneficial positive lengthy time period benzo than Xanax ER, IMHO. more beneficial importantly, the SSRI antidepressants are also antianxiety drugs, and many times are more beneficial positive for stress than benzos. besides, i do not realize why your record is telling you to take a lot that you're dopey. If the XR has you coated, then dropping by the wayside the on the spot launch makes more beneficial sense. If the XR has you too coated, lowering the dose makes more beneficial sense. All of which makes me ask your self about your doctor or maybe if s/he quite knows a lot about psych meds.

Your DR. should have told you. Call his office just to be sure. you won't know how you react to this med. so do it when you're planning on staying home for the day. Some people get very sleepy and the med. usually doesn't take long to work. I have to take one when I start getting very nervous and shaky but I try to limit them as good as I can, ask your Dr.

I was prescribed to take it in the am because it steadily releases xanax all day into your system. But, call the doc office.

xanax is usually given prn or as needed so you would take it when you start to feel anxious. not to exceed the dose written by your doctor.
