If she "has a breakdown every time she runs out," she is not using it medicinally. She needs to quite cold turkey. Don't buy her any more, and if she gets too b**chy, go stay with relatives or friends. Call and tell her where you are, so she won't worry, but let her know that she has to get a grip on herself, and you are not coming home until she can discuss it like a lady. Be calm, but determined. State your case rationally, quietly, but very firmly. If she screams in your ear on the phone, say, "I'm hanging up now," and then do so.

It's not a physical addiction, so don't listen to her hype about it. It's an emotional crutch, and you don't want her to have need of emotional crutches, unless perhaps need for your love.

You should've seen this coming before you got married.
You have to stop being p*ssy controlled. Show her you're the bread wiener and tell her pot is illegal and not a good example for your children. (or to even produce them for the matter). It might be harder now, but you have to have alot of selfconfidence and strength. Show her you're serious and not going to be swayed or put up with her B/S anymore!
Or leave her. You can find someone better who would be a good wife who dont smoke pot and would love you and be caring.

First of all, you can't help her stop by yourself... the only real way for her to make a commitment to stopping is going to rehab. There, they will really help her and she won't get into trouble with the police, which is another way, but the wrong way. One thing that might help maybe for the both of you to stop, is to stop buying pot for her because when you do that, it just shows her that you think it's ok to do it. She must learn... and if you don't get her help, she'll learn the hard way.

Well firstly you can't make your wife quit pot she has to want to quit for herself thats the way it goes with addicts..you can't help those who don't want to help themselves!! If you are a smoker as well regardless of wether it bothers you to have pot or not it will not make things any easier on your wife if she is going to quit....having the constant reminder in her face will increase the chances of her relapsing. It sounds as though she is not ready to quit therefore you are in a tough predicament. Just be supportive and if that fails then I guess your other option is seperation. Try and quit together..

It sounds like shes getting addicted to it - be strong and refuse to get it for her and stop being bullied into smoking it if you dont want to - take control of the situation before it controls you and your wife.

Tell her to go get it. Then if she gets busted, maybe she'll learn her lesson. It's illegal and psychologically addictive to some people. She may need counseling. Have an intervention. Tell her you will leave her if she doesn't quit. Tell her no more money....so she has to quit. (Or start selling her things). She needs to hit bottom. Sorry, but true. If she won't quit, she isn't ready and no one can help her until she decides to quit. Good luck, Kitty

To be honest with you, you can not make her stop. Drug users will not quit unless they want to. Maybe the two of you should try some marriage counseling. She may never quit unless something happens in her life to make her want to. Best quote I have heard in regards to this is "you can't help those that don't want help"
