I am really excited and motivated by your question. What?!? That is a stupid question and I don't want to answer it. Oops, I guess I am guilty of exhibiting a little bi-polar behaviour.
But seriously, it is the Exteme Highs and Lows in moods. I have dated a couple of bi-polar women in the past and they were either sailing very high, or way down in the dumps.

Bipolar Disorder is characterized by your moods swinging from Highs to lows. When you are on a high everything is euphoric to you. Nothing can go wrong its like you are high all of the time without meds. Then you hit the lows and boy are they low. Nothing seems to go right the world is going to end tomorrow and there is no light in sight. If you have mood swings like this then you are more than likely Bipolar but go to see a Psychiatrist for an evaluation if you think that you are that would be your best bet.

There are a variety of symptoms for Bi-Polar. Even though it's usually described as high and low mood swings, it can involve controlling behavior, poor spending habits, a feeling of never being wrong, etc. Many people have different symptoms. Look up bi-polar on the web and find a site with a symptom list. If you still feel it's a possibility, talk to your doctor. They have tests available to help make a diagnosis.

outrageous mood swings. They thought i was bipolar at one time until they finally figured out i was just in manic depression. The doctor explained to me he made the mistake of wrongly diagnosing me because i had all the symptoms of a bipolar.
I would be extremely happy and the next second i was flipping out and angry and the next second i was crying uncontrollably, so depressed i wanted to die. If you have severe mood swings i would see a doctor

Bi-polar disorder is should be diagnosed by a mental health professional. It's signs are periods of feeling down, depressed and lethargic then having periods of feeling very upbeat and active. It is caused by a chemical imbalance in the brain and can be helped with medication...usually Lithium.

When a person can go from one extreme to the other in no time flat, that might be an indication that they're bi-polar.
