I would say take a walk and discover the nature, listening music reading some books or doing some gardening is not bad to get rid of those unpleasant haunting feelings in your mind.

Coffee got stronger euphoria effects than tea as I know, you could try it and see which works you better.

Also people suffered from depression usually don't aware that they got such kind symptoms so that it is the best that you got to learn to be alert when you feel depressed and pull yourself out of that situation and to save you out from that black hole.

reading some philosophy book and see more green stuff and discovery the world around you. Or simply go to hospital to see people suffering cancer, then you will find out you are not the only one who is the pittiest person world cuz the patient are more vulnerable than you are.

Just go to discover the world, make friends and venting out ur feelings, develope your own hobbies then you will find how beautiful the world it is..

That is my personal humble suggestions. hope works for you and have a good and happier life

DON'T TAKE ANY DRUGS IF YOU ARE NOT THAT KIND SERIOUS

Probably caffeine. Something that has helped me at least twice when depressed is Yerba Mate, a loose tea. Also helpful to me several times is GABA 500 which you can get at a health food store. There have been a lot of good suggestions here.

depression is caused by chemical imbalance .
this could be as simple as adjusting your diet or adding a multi vitamin to make up for deficiency's of vitamins or minerals ,or may require other meds which synthetically replace chemicals your body should produce on its own such as serotonin epinephrine or other endorphins
