If you are talking about losing the sharpness of the skill...then maybe you do lose it if you don't use it. But, onec you have learned something like swimming or riding a bike or something, you don't lose the ability to ride you lose the ability to ride for long periods of time

It is true of muscle development. If you don't use your muscles, then you lose the tone. Good NEWS: you can get it back, you just have to work hard.

as far as the brain is concerned, yes. It becomes weak and that's why many people get Alzheimer's when they are older.
