I've got a needle phobia. Tried cognitive therapy and found it to be a load of cr*p!! They wanted me to watch hospital dramas and look at pictures of needles in between talking about my parent's divorce?!?!

Tried a hypnosis CD but I didn't rate it. I fell asleep every time I listened to it and freaked out when I next had an injection.

My current boyfriend was diagnosed with schizophrenic tendencies, he is currently jobless and and has no health insurance ( and because we have no doccumentation that we have been together for 6 months I cannot put him on my insurance) he needs to see a therapist but, I am having a hard time finding one .I don't know where to start...Anyways all that aside I need to know how to deal with this and not say the wrong things...( sometimes he starts talking "crazy" talk, some of the things he belives are a little off the wall) occassionally he talks about dying ( suicide) but, never seems to really mean it...some days are worse than others and there are days on end that he seems a completely "normal person" a little weird but, I love him so it doesn't matter...What should I do when he starts his crazy talk? and does anybody know where I can find a therapist that will help?

Seriously. I have my own problems and I deal with people who have some rather severe problems... but her problems, while severe on the surface, come off as a mere grab for attention to me. I have tried to offer solid advice in the past and I got rebuffed by defensiveness and "I'm fine's" before the cycle of it all started again. Everyone seems fooled... and I'm thinking that there may be a slight chance that I am cold hearted... but it all seems off to me. What to do?

Arachibutyrophobia - Fear of peanut butter sticking to the roof of the mouth.
Triskaidekaphobia - Fear of the number 13.
Taphephobia - Fear of being buried alive or of cemeteries.

But what about if you're afraid that something will crawl out of your toilet while you're taking a crap? Like a rat or a python. It has happened, you know!

My attitude is pretty sour lately, I hate to say. I am so heavily losing faith in my fellow human creatures, it is so sad. It really kills me...
Why do I have to worry about the whole world? My level of global empathy is driving me bats... Oh! I think I need my blanket and a hug!
Just typing this out has made feel a little better. Your comments I am sure would be deeply remedial. But be nice please... I'm really hurting here! : [

I have trouble sleeping sometimes and it is mostly at night that I get terrifying images in my mind. Sometimes it can be from a movie (as it is tonight- that girl thing crawling along the floor making that noise- from The Grudge), but sometimes it just comes from nowhere (such as a dead or badly injured animal staring at me from a dark corner). It's really disturbing and sometimes I wish that I could just float freely through the house late at night without one thought of that thing crawling along the floor, making that noise, aligning its neck in front of me as it clicks and gets louder. I don't think that it is just because of the horror movies that I've seen. I have a very active imagination.
