they once told me to imagine everyone naked. i could not do that so i imagine them in their "bathing suit" like at the beach. It makes it easier if you focus on a picture behind the croud or one certain person. it really helps if you talk to a few people before you speak and then focus on just talking to them.

Professional help is the most productive and time-efficient way to deal with your anxiety (counseling, psychotherapy, group analysis, etc.).
More time-consuming, less productive, but also (let's face it) less scary is to go DIY (do-it-yourself).
A way to deal with this fear yourself is: first of all you must seriously reflect on your anxiety. That is, visualize situations where you experienced your fear, what did you feel inside (what particular emotions), what was the situation outside (the environment around you) and can you spot any connections between the two. Try writing down all your ideas with no inhibition and in case you can not see a connection, leave it and come back to it the next day.
Your aim ought to be in identifying your particular emotions when the, let us say, speaking-anxiety emerges as well as the external particularities that might contribute to it.
Pinning these things down, alone, has some therapeutic quality. But it would also help if you try to minimize the external 'stressors' (that is, the anxiety-provoking situations) that contribute to the emergence of your fear.
Good luck!

Well im not a Psychiatrist, but i would like to know why do you get nervous,is it due to talking to people you do not know or any other reasons perhaps you would like to tell? You said you observe nervousness while speaking, but speaking with whom?
It seems to be a human condition to be nervous before a performance of some sort.It may be due to you speaking to a crowd,if you want to get rid of being nervous, just have Faith and Confidence. You will do absolutely fine.I hope my suggestion helps, atleast a bit.

i know what you mean, when you speak to a crowd or person (especially a very intimidating person you get scared) i had that problem but now what I do is focus on my goal, have faith and courage on myself. I became inspired by other people I met. But you should not fear to speak, do not be afraid to express your self. I believe that people should be able to express. If you get nervous that means you are not sure with yourself... think about that.

Take a deep breath before you speak. Always remember that no one listening will eat you alive. Also, go slow on your thoughts when answering. When you think too fast, its hard to express your thoughts verbally. Also, speak slowly so that others may understand and you can hear yourself talk as well.

Before venturing out to speak to somebody rehearse what you want to say to that person. Also imagine his/her possible response for your communication.after this, you will be able to communicate easily with people.
