to being an un-motivated man with nothing in less than a year? I know I'm a good looking guy and am very skilled in landscape architecture, I just can't find any motivation to continue. Am I depressed?

I have a sort of moment of anxiety when the phone rings & I have to decide whether to answer it, a deja vu moment when I think I know who is calling & either find out I'm right or be so shocked because I couldn't have predicted who was on the other end of the line if my life depended on it. As I reach for the phone I wonder would I be happier if I didn't answer this call?

So I guess I'm looking for extreme good and bad answering phone experiences. :D
And don't bother commenting on telemarketers unless it's a particularly good/unusual story. I'm with BunBun (from Sluggy Freelance) on the whole telemarketer affair.

We recently spent a week out of state visiting a couple out of state with whom my husband has been friends for over 20 years. They're like "family" to each other. I had never met the wife before. When we arrived and when we left (4 days later) my husband and the other wife kissed on the lips. (When we left, they actually kissed twice - the second one appearing to be very tender) I felt very uncomfortable with this and am having trouble knowing how to deal with it. It just seems like extraordinarly intimate behavior to me. Is it just me or is this unusual and inappropriate? (FYI - we are both in our 50s)

I worry about everything to do with my family - if my sister goes on her bike for example, i have terrible thoughts in my head that she is going to get run over or abducted. I cry before she goes out. She is 12 and never goes anywhere by herself or without friends but it dosen't stop me worrying.
I also have images of terrible things in my head and when i try to block them out, its like my mind won't let me and forces me to think about them.
I find myself doing obsessive compulsions to deal with this, like if i touch a table 10 times nothing bad will happen and bargaining that i will do something i don't want to do if my family are kept safe.
Its not only at specific times that i do this, but worrying and obsessions dominate my life all day, every day. If i go out for a meal with my family i am always wandering if this is the last time we are all going to be together.
Has anyone been through the same thing? Please help, i am a quiet person and this just makes it worse. Thanks

he always smells his hair and tells him it stinks.

Our 12 year old son is the cleanest boy on earth - he takes a 45 minute shower every night and washes his hair 2 times, it smells nice to me. He washes his hands every time he uses the bathroom or touches something.

I told my husband many times that he is making a clean freak out of the kid and it's not too normal to constantly tell they boy he is dirty. What should I do? I don't want the our son to grow up thinking he is dirty.

I have had a few different dreams that all had the same wierd lake in it. There is two rivers splitting the lake as it continues. In one dream I was on a boat and died as it tried to turn but flipped over. In the latest dream there were people on a pirate type boat trying to get to the ocean and part of it lead to the ocean. I have never seen this lake before.

What could it mean if anything?

Ever since my ex-girlfriend and I started having problems my life has been turned upside down. I recognize that I have a lot going for me. I'm 28, good looking, I have a great family (although they are acrossed the country) I have a great job, a nice place to live, my health etc. However, every day I wake up and think about what is wrong in my life. I constantly focus on the negative. Even if I have a bright spot in my day the negative emotions are always underlying. I started taking Paxil about 2 months ago but I don't know that it is helping. I miss my ex girlfriend tremendously and right now I cannot see myself finding another girl like her. I have tried to keep myself busy with working two jobs, working out, spending as much time with friends as possible and being healthy in general. For a long time I was a party boy.. out at the clubs doing all that bad stuff to my body and mind.. I'm sure that has an affect but it should be this bad. I believe in a God but not in a church sense.

Eventually I plan on atleast getting my Master's and maybe even my Phd down the road but for right now I am going to start off at a local community college until my fiance finishes up his degree in another 2-3 years and we can get settled in where ever he can find a job, right now I am working as a Nursing Assistant for mentally disabled individuals and would like to continue doing so in a school type setting until I can go back for my bachelors degree but I just wanted to know what type of jobs are availble for someone with an associates degree?

I do have endometriosis but i dont think that has anything to do with this. Between 7-10 days before my period, I feel so depressed to the point where I feel like a completley different person! I don't want to go anywhere, go to work, talk to anyone, I sometimes cry for no reason and I also get very negative and irritable. I take 75mgs of effexor for anxiety (which runs in my family; my mom and my sister both take the same medication for the same reason) so you would think that the meds would help my PMS but it doesn't seem to be. I can't imagine what I would be like w/out the effexor - now that would be scary. My PMS is so bad that it effects my daily life, my family, my work and my relationships with others. What can I do? I really HATE IT more than anything. Having endometriosis pain is bad enough - adding the mental on top of it is just awful. Somedays I just want to throw in the towel, run off and hide. Please help!

I am on Wellbutrin (for about 1 1/2 mos. now) to counteract any side effects with any other anit-depressant I would take. I would just take that, but it hightens my anxiety.
Now, i just started Paxil (1week ago) for an all-of-the-time solution and Xanax (also started 1 week ago) for when I need it.
My question is since I have been taking the xanax and paxil (along with the wellbutrin) everyday, I wonder if I will notice when the paxil kicks in? Are there any concerns with this trio?
