You need to take a step back and a few deep breaths and tackle one problem at a time also if you have others around you delegate jobs to them you cannot possibly do everything alone or you will burn out. Do not be afraid to ask for help as a rushed job is an incomplete or poor job. Get atleast 6-8 hrs sleep a night and do not take work home with you.As for aiding concentration levels try omega 3 or ginko biloba both have been proven to help with energy and concentration levels you can buy them from any chemist or health food store.

It's difficult when you bring your personal problems to work. You've got to try to separate personal issues from work before you can actually talk about being focussed at work.

You could visit your local doctor to prescribe you some medication to calm your nerves.

Or if you are afraid of being too dependent on drugs, you could try breathing exercises while you are at your work desk.

Come into your office earlier than the others, get settled and have a checklist of the tasks you need to fulfill each day. Once the day starts rolling, you'll lose track of what you need to achieve that day. So, draft up that checklist first. Then, do your breathing exercises...you could plug in a iPod or MP3 player and meditate if it helps to calm your nerves. Lift your phone off the hook until it's time to communicate with someone. Answering too many calls can heighten your anxiety sometimes.

Also, do keep 'objects' at your desk that help to block out distraction. Sometimes, too much human traffic near your work desk will affect your personal performance at work.

Learn to say no to a colleague if you have to...but say it nicely of course. Taking on extra assignments or commiting to frivolous favours that don't boost your personal performance appraisal will distract you from the actual work you need to do.

Don't get yourself embroiled in gossips and receive information through the grapevine. The best way to keep yourself in the loop at work is via email. Don't stop your work to listen to gossips. You'll find yourself alot more efficient at work.

Hi,

if you want to stay focused, it would help if you planned your time in advance.

First, set the goal that you want to achieve the next day the night before. List down the little tasks you have to complete and prioritize them.

Early in the morning, look at your list and imagine yourself completing them in the day.

When you have a list of prioritized tasks to do and a goal in front of you, you are more likely to stick to your task.

The satisfaction of ticking them off once they are completed will keep you on track.

Jia you!

you need to separate personal and job, draw a clear line, dont let personal problem affect yr performance @ work, at the end of the day, often you will neglect yr work and you will regret.
Life have to go on and the earth wont stop moving because of you.
finish your work then think of your problem, by thinking of it day in & day out, it wont solve.
Have a good day and start smiling :)

if you break up the job/task into small chunks, it makes it easier to attend to. for example, i will read to page 20 before dinner and then finish the book right after eating. setting smaller goals makes them easier to accomplish. i also find that i am more successful if i simply tell someone else what i want to accomplish. i'll tell my husband, "i'm going to vacuum the whole house before you get home from work." telling someone else your goal makes you accountable for it. hope this helps!
