Why would you want to they are the same med you should not be taking this medication if not prescribed by a gp or psychiatrist at it is a highly addictive tranquiliser.

No. Xanax XR is a timed release or extended release that works over a period of time. You don't need to take both. What doctor would prescribe you both? Be careful, this is an addictive medication.

you should not take them together. xanax xr is a 24hr. med. it is a time released med. it stays in you system for 24 hours and works when you body needs it. to take them together could be bad for you health.
