sometime the xanax xr is not enough can i take a broken dose of the regular xanax

The xanax xr is supossed to work over the whole day rather than for only the six hours xanax would usually work for.You need to tell your gp or psychiatrist that you feel it is not working for you and they may up your dose but please do not do this yourself it is not a wise thing to do. The xanax xr needs time to build up in your system so plz go and see prescribing doctor and tell them symptoms.

Xanax xr is extended release. Give it time to work - Half of a regular xanax wouldn't hurt, but you my become dependent upon that increase.

I switched from Xanax to Ativan, within 6 months I'll be immune to that & switch to something else.
