I have been on Lamictal for a few years now along with Keppra, Dilantin and Zoloft and have had no weight issues but that might have something to do with the combination of medications.

It's weight neutral, so it shouldn't.
Results from an analysis show that long-term treatment with Lamictal(R) (lamotrigine) is not associated with clinically relevant changes in weight when used in patients with bipolar I disorder compared to placebo. The results were presented at the 157th annual meeting of the American Psychiatric Association (APA) in New York, NY.
Most people who take LAMICTAL tolerate it well. Common side effects include: dizziness, headache, blurred or double vision, lack of coordination, sleepiness, nausea, vomiting, insomnia, and rash.
LAMICTAL may cause other side effects not listed here. If you develop any side effects or symptoms you are concerned about or need more information, call your healthcare provider.

Lamotrigine/ lamictal is probably between the great meds to flow on. For me it had no unintentional consequences :) attempt to dodge seroquel, olanzapine, carbamazepine (tegretol) lithium, and clozapine. when you're nervous about weight benefit purely attempt eating extra water :) How come you should attempt something else if lamictal is operating? What different meds are you on? xx

It is weight neutral so it should not cause weight gain. Most of the other side effects are minor except for the rash. It is a very serious complication however only a very few people get it.
