Do you think prideful behavior, like when you don't apoligize because you are too prideful to, is a learned behavior from your surroundings and influences, or do you think its an emotion you are born with?

I like reading, but sometimes everything I read doesn't register in my mind.

I had epilepsy as a child a fall on the ice last year brought it back. I have grand mal seizures, and they have frightened my entire family. I take nine pills a day. One for my thyroid. 5 for the epilepsy and 3 for depression. I can no longer do anything by myself. I can't go anywhere by myself. The depression is only getting worse. I get b shots and take iron. Then there is the puffers. I am so tired of medications. I'm tired of the pain and no answers. I'm only coming up on 40 and my body is 40 years ahead of me. I feel like I have lost my life. My boyfriend is afraid to take me fishing anymore. I'm the youngest person in the doctors office...in more than one doctors office. I'm tired of not having control of my life. I am desprate to get my life back. I just wish it didn't have to mean more pills, but I want my life back. I'm terrified that I will have a seizure while having sex? I pray I never do. Desprate for help and a cure where Doctors have failed.

Okay... I took a few online IQ tests. On nearly all of them, I scored 130. Sometimes higher, sometimes lower but never below 126, and the highest was 135.

On one I qualified for a free personal intelligence profile. It said that I was an "insightful linguist". This means that I have a creative mind and am a good writer, which is good because that's what I plan on studying in college.

Here's the thing. I scored way higher than average in the linguistic and visual-spatial areas of the test. As a matter of fact, I was at 99.8% in linguistic and 99.5% in visual-spatial, which meant that I scored higher than 99.8% and 99.5% of the people who took the test.

In the math and logic sections, however, I scored very low. I was only in the 70th percentile in both. Are specific areas of skill like this common of a mental disability, like Autism, or a similar impairment? I'm really worried that I won't be able to make it through college, or in a serious career, with something like this on my mind

I love my sheltered small town life.... But sometimes I feel like there is so much more I need to see. I don't want to leave the place and the people I love, but I don't know what I want to do with my life. I'm going to graduate soon, and I have no clue what path I'm on. Any suggestions??

There are two sides to people what is publicly seen and a person's mind where they have problems. Happiness is elusive sometimes and it seems that lots of people are unhappy (as seen by the emergence of so many depression drugs.) Are people really that unhappy or is it that happiness has been conceptionalized so that people define happiness as having material wealth or something they're not? Has the fast paced world stamped out happiness? Are people more selfish? What do you think?

My boyfriend of 8 months and I have only been having sex once or twice a month lately because of our crazy work schedules and being exhausted most of the time. I work days, he works nights. I find myself horny and wanting him all the time though. Is it because we're not having enough sex or is it just more my need to spend quality intimate time with him (sex aside)?
