Well first off are you really depressed or could there be some other medical problems making you feel this way? When did you have a checkup last? Sometimes lack of nutrients or eating improperly can make you feel awful. Have you had your thyroid checked? I would get a check up and ask your doctor about things.

This may sound simplistic, but when was the last time you had some time off from work? I mean more than just a weekend.
There could very well be a physical problem. By all means see your doctor.
But you might try taking some time off to do something to totaly take your mind off of your day to day life. Something extreme that would make you focus on the moment and nothing else. Like skydiving or hang gliding.
Just a suggestion. Good luck.

I feel empathy for you, most probably because I also take an anti-depressant. The things that make me feel more fatigued might ring true with you. Are your vocational and recreational activities in line with your gut interests? If not, you'll always feel fatigued. It's like wading through waist-high mud. When I try to fight the currents of life, I wear out fast. As with me, if most of your time is spent doing unpleasant tasks or tolerating unhealthy relationships, fatigue will result.
We all need an emotional tune-up at times. In some situations we must lighten the boat, getting rid of everything that weighs us down.
When I am doing something I enjoy, I rarely feel fatigue. Therefore, I think that following your passion/s will bring energy into your (and into my) life. Thank you for asking the question. You helped me to perceive my situation more clearly.

surprisingly this could have alot to do with the toxins you take into your body. Now if you're a healthy eater this doesnt pertain to you, but if not you should think about cutting down on red meats, all junk foods of any kind, including soda and tea and try to fit in some sort of exercise each day. Even if its just a 30 minute walk. Some studies have proven this to be worth while.

I'm feeling sort of like that lately. I think you should get some info on how to deal with it. There is a cool website called www.holistic-online.com which helps you deal with this issue. Maybe you are not getting the proper nutrients. Maybe you should exercise or stop hanging out with the wrong people. Look at all the options. If you feel down still, seek help.

First I would say have your meds changed to something that will work. Effexor is one good drug for what you have. You start off on the 150 mgs. This may work for you. The next mgs are 250 mgs. and 350 mgs. I take the 250 and I am doing fine. Ask your doctor if you can use this with the other meds you have for other ailments.

You may have Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. It sometimes is very hard to diagnose. I would try to find a doctor that specializes in CFS. Also, if you live near a University medical school, try their clinic.

First talk to a medical doctor about getting your thyroid levels checked. sometimes a low thyroid output has the exact same symptoms as depression. If all of your levels are ok, ask your doctor for a referral to a psychologist. I prefer psychologists over psychiatrists b/c they're not automatic medicine pushers. they actually *TALK* to you about your problems and try get to the root of them before shoving some medicine on you. if they think you need to be on some medicine, all they have to do is send a confidential fax back to your medical doctor with their recommendation and he/she can write the scrip. it could also be Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, which is very hard to get a doctor to diagnose. ask your doctor if they can refer you to someone who specializes in it.

Have you been evaluated for Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. Go to a good rheumatologist if you haven't. It's worth a shot.
