Mozart efect is always talked about. Bach also really works; maybe not his large-scale stuff, but his Goldberg Variations (for piano), cello suites, or violin partitas are so relaxing and really get you in the right frame of mind. Just make sure you don't get distracted!

I have some Handel, Taichovosky (sp?), and Mozart. Their music really relaxes you and allows to focus and concentrate while you're reading/studying.
