i get strange headaches that start at the back of my head/top of my neck. its a concentrated spot of intense pain for a few minets then it slowly moves to the front of my head then dissappears for awhile before returning to the same begining spot all over again. it does that for about an hour then goes away for about a day. i want to knoe if this could be serious or i just need to improve my diet or hydrate better.

Shoulder pain?
\lthough it has gone away know last week while skiing i had some shoulder pain. I first hurt my shoulder in the summer when i capsized my kayak and had to wrench myself up with it. Secondly late last year in badminton i did an over hand shot and it clicked and ground. I couldnt stretch it behind my back. Recentley im not sure what i did to it but while ski ing it hurt to push with my poles and it was painful to pull myself up onto my bunk. The pain is totally gone at the moment so i do not need or want advice on medicine or treatment.

What i want to know is what was wrong with my shoulder these times?

Was it the ligermants or muscles?

Are the injuries related and will it reioccure?

Thankyou!

p.s. i am 14 years old and quite sporty (i am not deohydrated)

So I fell down the stairs yesterday a.m. and have either bruised or fractured my tailbone. From other answers I read it sounds like going to the doctor is pointless other than better pain meds, is that the popular opinion? The doctor is my last resort so I am wondering if finding out that it is fractured would do anything for me other than a big hospital bill.

....last Wednesday, I experienced a searing pain in the middle of the sole of my foot - in the arch - like someone was pushing a screwdriver handle into hard. It lasted only a couple of seconds but it stopped me in my tracks. Since then, my leg has felt stiff and sore and playing football has been difficult. Any ideas?

My sister-in-law and my brother take it fairly often for muscle soreness. My problem is that I already take prescription medications and am concerned that it would adversely affect my liver.

Recently I went to the doctor because I could not move my left hand. My wrist and fingers were in pain, and so was the space between thumb and the other fingers. I have Raynaud's syndrome, so my entire hand is a lot more sensitive now and it turns blue whenever it wants, whether I have gloves on or not.

My other wrist is giving me the same problems but not to that extent. And now it seems like my knees and ankles are always hurting.

The doctor prescribed mobic and ordered some blood tests, but the mobic has done nothing for the pain. Ibuprofen did a better job but I have to take it continuously, and I have a bad stomach that requires me to take nexium. Is there anything I can try that's over the counter for arthritis. I've tried icy hot and bengay, also I take a whole batch of supplements including glucosamine, vitamin D, omega 3s, and prenatal vitamins.

I'm in my early 20s, not pregnant, and whenever I bring these issues up to my doctor, she just writes me a new prescription.

I am 28 weeks pregnant, so cannot take much as pain reducers other than tylenol. So, taking my antibiotics every 6 hours and 1000 mg of tylenol every 7-8 hours. Placing heating pack and doing some light walking to help relieve the pain, but still get that aching pain and want to know how long that is going to last.

Our house is all electric, so there isn't any gas. From my understanding Radon doesn't cause head aches. Is there anything in our house that could cause this? Could it be the heating system?

Ok real simple, if you have a headache tickle the skin on the back of your ear. Try both ears but I think the best will be to tickle or stimulate the ear opposite to the side of your headache. Where I am going with this is the stimulation of the vegus nerve. There are vegus stimulators implanted for the use in sever epilepsy which have been shown to reduce headaches also. So even if you suffer from epilepsy tickeling or stimulating the skin behind the ear may in fact stop that seizure or reduce it. Even possibly keep it from turning in to a full blown grand mal. I would say this is worth trying and with your input I think we may be on to something. I also suspect this to help headaches caused by trigeminal neuralgia. Seems to simple you say... well lets prove it wrong. Maybe a feather would work better? Its really up to you but the chances are someone out there has a head ache right now and when you have a head ache anything is worth trying. Try this out and get back with me.

All day yesterday I experenced light headness and about mid way through the day my tooth started hurting. It didnt start hurt real bad until about 2 hours ago, but now my face has swollen and my left arm started to feel numb. I have had this tooth hurt before but it has been a few month since it last hurt. But this is the first time I have ever been light headed all day and had it hurt. Any ideas about what it could be.

My mum had it done a few days ago, and last night she wasn't paying attention and closed the door to the car with THAT hand, and felt an overwhelming pain.

Now, obviously I would consult a doctor, but it's a long weekend and I want to get some insight on what might have happened until we call the doctor.

So I know they scalpel open the transverse carpal ligament... But is it meant to fuse back within a couple of days? And is there a possibility that it had fused back and my mum tore it open? And if so, is there danger. Also she wants me to ask about any exercises she could do to help the recovery...

Any help would be appreciate. Thanks...

I have a horrible toothache, I can't sleep. I'm going to the dentist tomorrow but right now all of a sudden it started hurting so much, it hasn't been bad during the day. The orajel is not helping anymore, I put cloves, i took pain medication & ibuprofen.
