Hello everyone,
Yesterday I had a 1 hour softball clinic and forgot to strech... Anyway when I woke up this morning I couldn't get up becasue my back hurt... It hurt from the back of my shoulder to my bottom of my neck... I think I might have strained my muscle but am not sure... It hurts when I try to raise it and do other mosions... It also hurts bad when I try to touch it. This morning when I took a shower I also noticed it was all red... What could it be... If I do have a muscle strain or anything else what can the doctor do about it?

Thx so much and this has taught me a good lesson.... ALWAYS STRECH!!!!!!!!!!

I've had just about every proceedure done possible. You name it. I don't like the morphine route so I disregard it. Some days I can barley get out of bed the pain's so bad. I just don't do anything anymore. I've literally been a shut-in for the last 4 years. I get more depressed each day. I don't wan't to do anything extreme. I'm really scared. My family member was left paralyzed from back surgery.

I have a torn ligament in my right wrist and I'm currently playing softball and having a VERY hard time. I had surgery 7 months ago, but it hasn't helped. Should I stick out the season, or what other possible options do I have OTHER than another cortisone shot

For the past three years I have been (unsuccessfully) trying to manage unrelenting chronic pain in two trigger point areas in my left scapula. I've been diagnosed with a Brachial Neuropathy of the left shoulder with MRI confirming nerve damage to the axillary nerve causing severe muscle atrophy in my left deltoid. After twounsuccessful rotator cuff surgeries in as many years all Doctors and Specialists are perplexed -- much to my dismay, Percocet is the only medicine that helps lessen the pain (Will be switching to Methidone in a week due to the Percocet not working as well. About two weeks ago I finally gave in to the pain (temporarliy I hope) and went out on Short Term Disability.
Sorry if this is sounding like a sad sap story, I'm really a pretty upbeat guy, but it gets tough to handle sometimes especially when hospitals like John's Hopkins (Maryland, USA) can't help me. In short I need to think outside the box here which is why I'm asking the question. Thanks in advance!

I wake up in the mornings sometimes and stretch my legs while laying down and my calves will lock up and become extremely hard. This causes EXTREME pain causing me to break down in tears because of it. I also get this in my feet. Why am I getting these ANNOYING cramps???

The calf cramps are new as of this Winter (During and after basketball season)

Are there anyways to prevent these cramps? Maybe a vitamin I could be lacking???

Thanks a lot (by the way, my calf will hurt for a couple days after the cramp, and after it feels normal, I get another one >:( )

Thanks in advance!

The urologist carried out an internal examination and said the bladder was "pristine"and could find no reason except that radiotherapy affects people in different ways. Will I just have to accept this. I do not take painkillers as I am worried about long term effects.

I tweaked my neck working on the set of a play our school is doing. I don't know is the crazy thing. One second it was fine and the next it hurt hella bad.

First off, I'm just 20, not even in my 60's. Everytime I go out and walk and/or stand for over 2 hours, I start getting a gripping pain in my lower back (not butt) area and also my hips, and I think pretty much the lower area. It's that "tired" feeling as well.

The only reason I could think of is that I don't really excercise. Sure it's on my everyday to-do list, but I never actually do it. Anyway, other than this, should I be concerned? Do I just have to excercise? And please, don't let that fact cloud your sense of response since there could be other possible reasons, but I hope there isn't.

I get severe tension headaches that sometimes lead to migraine. On a typical day I would take about 5 advil, but i'm trying to only take 2 now.

I have gotten an MRI, so there is no serious health cause but my headaches cause a rotten mood.

Any tips on relieving tension?
