now I"m having pain in my neck and upper part of my shoulder. I didn't go to the ER last night after the accident. the pain started today. Any idea's what could be going on and if I should go to the ER

I am in sever chronic pain. I can not take anti-inflamitories / /NSAIDS for other medical reasons. I have tried vicodin, tylenol #3 and Darvoset. The first two do nothing, the Darvoset at its highest does just barely helps, but not enough. I am getting bounced around with refferals within my insurance plan and everyone I see says they can not treat the kind of pain I have, that I need a pain clinic. I went there and they said they will only do injections into the joints and that is all they do, so prescriptions or pain management. I feel like I am stuck. I have called all the dr's office, been to the urgent care and the pain dr, called my medical group and called my insurance - everyon tells me to talk to someone else!!!!!!!!! I am in so much pain and frustration. So, I was wondering if anyone knows anything else that might help me. The pain is from osteoarthritis in my hips.

Just got MRI results back. Family Doc says I have a bulging disk between C5-C6. Went to pain management yesterday and that Doc said it is pressing on the nerves affecting my left arm. I refused steroids shots b/c I am not in severe pain or debilitated. I am being sent to physical therapy which is fine with me as I need to learn how to do things so it does not get worse. Anyhow, what is the difference between buldging disks and herniated disks? I thought they were the same but I think I am mistaken. Also, any advice?

I went to the chiropractor for back and rib pain. He took X-rays and my spine was out of alignment. I've been there 5-6 times and am no longer having pain. When I went the past couple of times, my back didn't even crack when he tried to crack it. I went yesterday thinking it would be my last appointment because he told me the last time that it would be the last appointment and after 5 minutes he says he wants to see me again on Friday (the appointment was on a Monday) and that he wants to stretch the appoinments out longer now (I was going twice a week). Is this normal or is he just trying to get more money out of me? I really can't afford to keep going so much especially if I'm not in any pain.

I have fibromyalgia, and was just wondering if there are also some homemade remedies out there for pain relief. I take grape seed caplets every day, and that just barely takes the edge off. If you can help me, that would be just great!!!!!

I've been having sharp to moderate pains right below my chest on my left side every time I breathe, the deeper the breath, the sharper the pain. Sometimes they start even without breathing. They started about a month and a half ago, but slowed down and I only got them once and a while, until yesterday. They come and go with intensity, but are almost constant with pain.

I AM ON LEXAPRO AND I HAVE SINUS PAIN. I WAS WONDERING WHAT I CAN TAKE OVER THE COUNTER TO HELP WITH THE SINUS STUFF. DR PUT ME ON AVELOX ANITBIOTIC BUT I HAD SIDE EFFECTS AND STOPPED TAKING IT. I have been having a pain in my back every day for the past several weeks. The pain isn't all over my back, it is just in one spot. On the left side of my spine, in the middle of my back. I've been calling it a muscle cramp, but I'm not sure that's what it is. It is a burning, stinging, aching sensation. Sometimes it is a sharp, stabbing pain. I'm not in pain all day, it just seems to hurt after I get home from work. I have decided that I need to see either a massage therapist or a chiropractor. I'm not such which one would be able to help me. Which do you suggest?

Is promethazine an okay drug for treating serious pain or is it more of a sedative? If for pain, at what dosage? All the info I find online is very vague.

I woul appreciate it if someone in the medical field could help with this question. I know it is administered often for motion sickness.
