read with very low light
other - Much pain is from muscles below is an example of what may help (based on headaches).
Begin with a couple swigs of molasses or a couple of bananas (natural muscle relaxers) daily - magnesium (which regulates many things in the body) and potassium (a needed building block for muscles).
Drink at least 1/2 gallons of water per day. Running a body low on water is like running a car low on oil is the analogy the head of neurology at UCDavis told my husband about 10 years ago.
Now to the cause - muscles - your back, neck shoulders and head have tender spots. They are knots in the fibers of the muscles called trigger points. It makes the muscles tight which makes them press on nerves and other things causing the pain.
The cure - start with a professional massage, you will also want to go back over any place you can get to 6-12 times per session up to 6 times per day rubbing (or lightly scratching on your head) every where that is tender until the knots go away. The place where the skull connects to the spine press up under the edge of the skull (to get to those muscles).
For more information read The Trigger Point Therapy Workbook by Davies. It teaches what to do and where the pain comes from.

I alsosuffer from NO SLEEP ..usually days on end. because of a car accidnent i had a few years ago..I have cd's that realy help called "DELTA SLEEP" they work on hypnosis and i find them very effective but only for a few days then you get used to them..so it's best if you get a few different ones..Also a natural remedy you can get at your local pharmacy ..no prescription required it's called "MELATONEN" it comes in 3mlg tablets..take two an hour before bed time..if that don't work take 3 the next day..melatonen is what the body creates naturaly to make you fall asleep and sometimes we just don't create enough on our own so we need a little help..I use this stuff alot and it works well..and the best part it's not habit forming so no addiction..woohoo..

Start with your little toe on your right foot,is it there? is it comfortable? do every toe right foot like that, then do every toe left foot, same way,but make certain that they are comfortable until moving on.
Got the Right Toes comfy. Ok do the left ones, one at a time. be certain that each toe in its own right is comfy,do the left ankle, ask yourself is my left ankle comfy?make it comfy, now right ankle, and on and on up every joint, bone and muscle to the tippy top of the head.
If sleep is evading bad,may take two cycles of that, the concentration on comfort and resultant actions or inactions put me to sleepy.
The more thorough that you are in gaining comfort for every part of the body, the faster you will fall asleep, it is rather natural.

I usually always fall asleep right away. For me, at least, when I can't go to sleep, I've got something on my mind that I keep thinking about after I go to bed.
Try to clear your mind, and don't let yourself think about anything. That works for me!

Try Yoga: http://www.divyayoga.com/main.htm
It will take some time but you will get better in 2-3 weeks. It also does not harm you in any ways, rather yoga will also solve other health problems also...Use CD's/VCD's in case you can not attend the shivir (classes) in person.
