I have just been diagnosed with thoracic outlet syndrome after ruling out everything else. First I was told it was carpal tunnel. I have a job where I have terrible working conditions and do repetitive work every day. Lots and lots of data entry with no keyboard, mouse or back support. I have not been in an accident or injured and I've done clerical work all my life and never had this until I started this job a year ago. I see it can be work related but of course my boss is giving me an attitude about the whole thing. I'm missing work for appt's and not getting paid. I feel this should go under workman's comp. I can barely sit at work . I need helo..I'm losing my mind. I'm getting harrassment at work over this. Now what? any suggestions? Thanks

If you had serious pain like arthritis or migraine or something like that and it was immediately relieved how would you describe that. One word answers or very short phrases.

I just found out from a cat scan that I've been having migraine headaches, did anyone know that you can tell that from a cat scan?

Well, the medicine prescribed causes drowsiness and I have 2 young children so I can only take my medication at night, does anyone know any natural remedies I can use or something that might help with these severe migraines?

I suffered bulging discs at C-5, & 6 from a car wreck 6yrs. ago. My neurosurgeon told me the damage was not major enough for surgery. After 6mos. the pain was no better so I got a 2nd opinion and was told the same. So I've basically suffered ever since. But since I started having children in the past couple yrs....the pain is now unbearable. By 5-6:00 every day, I'm lying down w/ a heating pad on the back of my neck. All these local docs wanna do is get me addicted to pain pills, which I hate the idea of.
Also, one of my neuro's called it degenerative disc disease, but I was injured in a wreck. Is this the same thing? Anyone else suffer like this? Any insight?

Ok so since the begining of February my hroat has been sore. The 2nd week it was so sore i couldnt swallow. Then after a few days passed it felt like it was trying to clear up but no such luck the following day it was the worst it had been at all. I ended up going to the hospital in the middle of the night because it kept waking me from my sleep and i would be in tears it hurt so bad. They done a strep and mono test and both came back negative. I have had no other symptoms at all except for the past 3 days a stuffy/runny nose. It reminded me of a smokers cold when it first started so i just blew it off but as it worsened and has stuck around im furious im in so much pain i can barely swallow sometimes so i avoid eating and i can barely sleep i take 4-5 advil to help with some pain and that has stopped working. I was now taking tylenol with codiene and i am able to sleep a little and eat soup but nothing hard. Ive tried every home remedy i know of and nothing helps. Could some1 plz help

Usually when I talk to people i get a headache. My head feels like it tightens and its usually on the right side of my brain. Sometimes its on my left. Also sometimes its a sharp pain like something stabbing into the side.

Its weird. I can try to sense my brain and see how it feels and when I do this I feel the headache come on.

Has anyone ever had this before or know what it is?

I woke up with neck pains on 2/18/07. The pain went away after a couple of days. It started up again this past Saturday. I went to see a Chiropractor yesterday, and he took some x rays. Today I went for my results, and he said my neck bone was out of line and I can have treatment at his center. He cracked my neck and back today, and now I am in a lot of pain. How long does this pain usually last? Is it normal?

So I am doing this new excersize where I have to walk 10,000 steps on my treadmill which is about an hour and a half and four miles. So now my feet hurt really really bad and I have blisters about the size of a quarter on my heels. I currently have lots and lots of eucerin creme on it and socks over that. what else can I do to make my feet feel better?

I have already had 4 jaw surgeries (2 arthroscopic and 2 open). My disks have been put in place, but I am still having a lot of pain. Don't get me wrong, the last 2 surgeries (the open ones) have been great, I no longer have migraines...but I still am having problems with eating food and headaches. I want to find a treatment that doesn't involve a lot of medications as I have done that before. Thanks for any help anyone has to offer.
