Principle below
Much pain is from muscles below is an example of what may help (based on headaches).
Begin with a couple swigs of molasses or a couple of bananas daily - magnesium (which regulates many things in the body) and potassium (a needed building block for muscles).
Drink at least 1/2 gallons of water per day. Running a body low on water is like running a car low on oil is the analogy the head of neurology at UCDavis told my husband about 10 years ago.

Now to the cause - muscles - your back, neck shoulders and head have tender spots. They are knots in the fibers of the muscles called trigger points. It makes the muscles tight which makes them press on nerves and other things causing the pain.

The cure - start with a professional massage, you will also want to go back over any place you can get to 6-12 times per session up to 6 times per day rubbing (or lightly scratching on your head) every where that is tender until the knots go away. The place where the skull connects to the spine press up under the edge of the skull (to get to those muscles).

For more information read The Trigger Point Therapy Workbook by Davies. It teaches what to do and where the pain comes from.

Stretching after every work out to avoid having pains. But in case you already have it, it can be done any time to get rid of the pain to get rid of lactic acid which is painful to the muscles.Put one leg forward. Lean on that leg putting your palms on the knee of that leg. Count to 20. Lean backward with the same leg in front of you but keep only the heal on the floor raising the toes upwards. Count 20. Repeat with the other leg. This should be very helpful.

Lactic acid has been blamed for soreness, injury to muscles, cramps, oxygen debt, etc. However, A 2004 study found that lactic acid not only does not cause soreness, it may actually counteract fatigue. The study found that the loss of potassium is more likely the cause of fatigue.

Try to eat bananas to replenish your potassium levels.

Good Luck!

Water. Hydration is the easiest solution for sore and tired muscles after running or aerobic activity. Do not take any kind of pain relievers or muscle relaxers seeing as they would simply dehydrate you further and also be extremely potent in your system.

Simple H2O dude, water is the answer. Keep Hydrated and you will keep going.

Forget Gatorade and the crappy isotonic rubbish. There is no magic formula.

They are all just sugar anyway so will probably do you more harm than good.

Water and keep hydrated.

A lot of athletes take a substance called (not sure how to spell it) creotine. It helps you recover faster after a workout. its not illegal to purchase but it is illegal to take if you are a pro athlete in the NBA or NFL.
