Have you been to a physical therapist? Have you seen a medical doctor regarding your problem. Your MD can refer you to a physical therapist who will perform an examination and determine the cause of your back pain. If they deem necessary they will contact your physician and recommend any testing they think you may need such as an x-ray, MRI, etc.

I have seen a chiropractor after a severe lower back injury and I was feeling 100% better after 2 treatments. You may want to go to a doctor first, as a chiropractor cannot prescribe medicine. I was given muscle relaxers and Vicodin. I used the muscle relaxers to help with sleep, and I didn't need the Vikes, so now I have 30 pills that I could probably sell at the local high school for $20/pill.

A chiropractor in my opinion is a long drawn out way to just prolong the root of the problem Have you had any xrays? Do you have pain going down the buttocks, leg or foot? I would go to your family physician first.

I do not know the particular reason for your lower back pain. If it
is bad, or has persisted very long, perhaps you should see a doctor. As far as chiropractors go, I am a firm believer in the science of chiropractics it has done wonders for me on more than one occasion. Performed correctly chiropractics can improve your overall health as well as your back...upper, lower and everywhere in between.

PLEASE go to your regular doctor first!!!! He/She will determine if X-Ray, C.T. or MRI is needed to find the cause first. If it is found to be muscular rather than skeletal, then a physical therapist or chiro will probably be recommended by your doc.
