My ear has been blocked for a month. My doctor told me that I had fluid behind the ear drum and presribed a steroid nasal spray but it has done nothing. I have also taken oral antibiotics and antibiotic ear drops that have not worked.

My 3 year old has a horrible ear wax problem. Both ears are often so packed that the doc can't see his ear drum, and now it seems to be affecting his hearing. Is there any over the counter drops or home remedy to help dissolve the wax? Obviously I don't want to stick anything in there...

My fingernails are not terribly discolored or anyting, but they have pretty deep ridges running from cuticle to tip on them. Does anyone know what causes this, and even better, how to resolve it?

Thanks!

I eat well - no processed foods, plenty of fresh fruit and veg, fish and various meats. Not low in Iron. I generally get between 7 and 8 hours of solid, uninterupted sleep but wake up feeling absolutely exhausted. Is there something lacking in my diet or could it possibly be that I'm not getting enough fresh air as the weather is generally too wet and cold to do a lot of outdoor activities?

Current Symptoms:

1.Tightness in underarms – 6 Months
2.Chest/stomach rash – 7 Months
3.Rectal bleeding – Off and on
4.Sustained throat discomfort – 7-8 Months
5.Hydrocyle – left groin area

History:

Diagnosed with NGU in early August and was spitting up some blood as well. A Chest x-ray was fine and a blood test for diabetes was negative. I took Doxicyclin for the NGU – got Oral Thrush. Took Nystatin for Oral Thrush and was cleared after a couple of weeks.

Chest rash started around the same time, doctor’s chalked it up to sweating and common irritants. How far it spreads and how noticeable and itchy it is comes and goes.

I bleed from the rectum sometimes and sometimes go through phases of diarrhea and constipation. I did have a problem with a hemariod several years back.

My throat has given me some discomfort for quite some time, for and on throughout the day but generally consistent. It’s worse when I talk for a while. It has improved, as I’ve been said to have acid reflux and have been treated for it, but it is not fully better.

I’ve been diagnosed with a hydrocyle on the left side on my groin. This was discovered during an ultrasound.

As a side note, I tested negative for HIV 4 times, the latest 25 weeks after last sexual encounter.

What could be wrong here and how might I deal with it?

I have the worst time waking up in the morning... often late as hell and rushing out of the door. Sometimes, I oversleep and that's bad. At night I can not go to sleep at a regular time. For the reasons that by the time I get my daughter to wind down and my house settled, I always have some thing else that requires my attention. I really would like to go to bed at a decent time and become an early riser...especially for my daughter's sake but I can not do it at all. I do not want to try sleep medicine for it might make my situation worse. And I know this sounds pathetic but I have four alarms and still that don't work. Help, help, help...

I'm wondering if I'm not drinking healthy enough. I don't drink much water, usually only around a cup every day, because I drink alot of milk instead. Is this bad for me? Should I drink more water and less milk?

I've been noticing myself staying up VERY late. And not being able to fall asleep.
And I sleep in all day wasting my time.

I really want to start going to bed earlier, but I don't want to use any type of drug.

I have counting problems, so dont suggest counting backwards.
I've tried warm milk, Baths excercise. Nothing.
Any suggestions?

I have had an eye twitch for two month, everyday allmost non-stop my lower right eye lid is twitching. I went to see a doctor she said there is nothing she can do, except to put me on tranquilizers if i'm too nervous which i'm not. I had a lot of stress during past summer, so I'm thinking that could be a reason. It is really uncomfortable and distracting, i'm afraid i might get a major muscle developed under my eye if I won't stop it somehow :). Please help.

What could really happen if someone slept with contacts in? Does anything really happen or is it just something Dr.s say to make you clean them? It may seem stupid but I'm just wondering.
