I have a qusetion!!!! Does food and air go down the same pipe (Esophogus)?

Well yes but an important feature of the throat is the epiglotis, a flap which separates the oesophagus from the trachea and prevents inhalation of food or drink.

no. Food goes dsown your esophogus and air goes down your trachea.

Only to the middle of your throat. The passage then splits into the esophagus(to stomach) and the trachea(to lungs). :-)=

Normally when you swallow, a certain set of muscles contract to push food through to the stomach.

When you breath the other set of muscles work to open your lungs.
