It may or may not. Cannabis is not physically addictive, however mentality it can be a very tough habit to break. You need to move away from partaking in the activities that you would normally do stoned. Picking up a new hobby or activity could definitely help. The best thing you can do is keep yourself busy, don't give yourself the opportunity to get stoned. Remove yourself from situations and people that are going to encourage further use of Cannabis.

Good luck, it really isn't a tough habit to kick once you settle into a new routine. Enjoy your new found mental clarity.

Umm, seriously, you need help "kicking it"? ... just don't lift the bowl, bong,j to your mouth. It's pretty easy, lol.
Ok, all joking aside... it can help, if you need a physical component to quit, sure, but it's all mental. So, if quitting is what you really want, it'll happen. Try this; when you feel like blazing up - go on a nice long meditative run/walk instead. Running can release all sorts of endorphins after about 25-30 minutes, and walking is certainly meditative on it's own. Yoga is great too.

I personally love to smoke and go for a very long long run... lol, so don't try that... you might get "addicted" to the combo.

I think people just get addicted to smoking because it makes the world so much more damn interesting. Really, I've never heard of people being physically addicted.

As long as you don't get baked befor running. My brother is a runner, marathons and whatnot, he gets stoned prior to a big run and really gets a compounded runners high.
Personally, for me activity and being stoned just don't go together. I could never do any type of physical excertion when reefed.
I guess it is different for everyone but perhaps it is the runners high that replaces the herbal one. At any rate, it can't hurt.
I do not smoke any more, just once in a great while. I have stuff to do and can not function on it anymoe. My advice...get old. That's what kicked it for me.
Peace<

Marijuana is not physically addictive...just psychologically addictive, so do whatever it takes to get your mind off of it or to distract yourself so that you don't smoke. Jogging and walking certainly won't hurt and it's healthy, so go for it! But you can't walk 24/7 so have some more activities you can do while you're just hanging out at home as well, because those will be the times when you'll get the strongest urges.

Sure, if you walk like Forest Gump and never light up again. Really no offense meant, but it is people like you that prevents medical marijuana from being passed by Congress. I had cancer. To the person who believes cannabis is not physically addictive. It's a drug-it goes into the physical body and if you don't stop it becomes a psychological crutch.

no more than it will smoking cigarettes. My favorite time to smoke was when walking. every body wonders why the name boo- no one seems to know that it stands for mary jane/marijuana. I sold it and smoked it for many , many years. It doesn't help to smoke and sell. you run yourself out of business. That's what I did, run myself out of business, but not the literal kind of Run! I burned alot too, my brain cells not calories, cause the muchies really put it on ya. Endorphines- don't let anybody tell you that will cure you. You just have to want to quit -straight out!!Good Luck Friend. Go seek a Physicains help or get a buddy like I did and we both quit and that helped the most.

it's a great way to start - by exercising you'll increase your natural endorphines which make you feel great, and once you start looking after your body you'll be more aware of the negative effects of the things you put into it. good luck!
