If I sleep less than that, I am so tired all day that I can't think, and I just try not to fall asleep and can't enjoy anything. I am 19 years old, this isn't right. I did horrible last semester at college because I had to wake up at 6:45. I couldn't pay attention in class and would immediately go back to my dorm to sleep. I've tried going to bed early at night but my body won't let me sleep until around 10:30 at the absolute earliest. I just have to sleep through the morning there's no other solution, but why????? I know it's a waste of a day sleeping through half of it, but it's even more of a waste if I'm so tired during the awake part.

I've come off HRT patches but the hot flushes and night sweats have returned. If I keep on having disturbed sleep, I'm going to revert to the mad axewoman I was years ago before I got HRT! HELP! I restrict myself to one cup of tea upon awakening, one cup of good coffee mid-morning, and a maximum of 2 glasses of red wine in the evening. I don't use sugar and seldom eat anything using refined flour. I've heard Rose Hip and St John's Wort can help. I'm prepared to do almost anything to get through this and out the other end with my sanity intact! Only, when will it all end? Please, someone out there, tell me it won't last forever!

Okay, today, as I was preparing to lay in the tannning bed, the bed went on, exposing the light to my eyes. I then accidentaly looked at the lights again as I was trying to turn the machine off. I know the lights can cause blindness. Afterwards, as I drove home, I felt double vision and my eyes bouncing. Will I be okay? I did wear goggles though, but just the tiny moments I looked at the light.

Have tried all kinds of lip balms, vaseline etc... Still chapped, some days worse than others. In the summer they are ok but I am outside alot and I have sunburned them a few times. Maybe that is a contributing factor to the chappedness!?

I’ve noticed over the last year or so that my heart acts up sometimes. Not really sure how to describe it but it feels like it beats hard twice maybe three times but usual twice followed by a full body air gasping except for I don’t really half to gasp for air it only feels like I do but I do take a deep breath afterwards because it scares me. Over the last couple of months it has worsen I noticed it more now while im at work and I work with ten two year olds for 9 hours a day so Im not sitting down in a chair relaxing or anything. I’m not stressed Im a very calm person “trust me you half to be to work with children.” But Saturday night while I was trying to fall asleep, I was in that mode where your almost asleep but still somewhat awake it woke me up twice and this time I did gasp for air big time. I feel asleep after I calm down about an hour or so later and I was fine the next morning. It happens more then it use too so is that a cause for concern?

At work I always feel tired and I yawn a lot. I get enough sleep, around 7-8 hours and I don't work super hard so I'm not getting tired out. I do not work at a desk and I am always moving around doing stuff and lifting stuff. I'm not very active outside of work though.

I had jaundis pretty bad when I was born, I was under the light for about a week. The doctor told my mother that I would never be able to give blood as an adult because of it. My question is, because of this condition as a child, would that show up in blood tests today, I am 29, enough to be rejected for life insurance?

Sometimes out of nowhere I experience sudden rapid heartbeat which can happen anywhere at any time. I went to a cardiologist and he had me wear a 24 hour heart monitor. But during the 24 hours I did not happen to experience any rapid heartbeat or anything. My rapid heartbeat just did not happen to occur while I was wearing the monitor, although it does still occur at other times. The cardiologist reviewed the results and a few days later he called me and said nothing was wrong with my heart. But is there REALLY "nothing wrong," or could it be that in fact there may be something wrong and the cardiologist simply did not detect the problem just because I did not happen to experience any symptoms during the 24 hours while I wore the monitor?

Maybe somebody has experience with this. I'm getting my wisdom teeth out Thursday, but I really want to attend school on Friday. Will I be in too much pain/discomfort to do ordinary school activities? Or will I be fine?

I really don't know what to expect.

I just recently found out I was pregnant and when I went into the doctors the first time they couldn't get into my veins because of how deep they are so they poked me about 20 times but never got anything and tried several different spots. Tomorrow I have another appt and I was told drinking alot of water helps. Does anyone else know what to do to make my veins stick out more? I dont want to be a poking board anymore. Any help would be great!

Okay, I was listening to music with headphones on really loud, but sound was only coming to my right ear cause the other speaker was busted.

I get off, and I heard a ringing noise. It disappeared quickly. That day I also got hit with a snowball in the right ear. However, I still hear the ringing, but only at home in my living room. I hear it nowhere else. At school it was fine, I'm in my room right now and I'm fine.

It must be something in the living room, but I dunno. I went to the Drs to check it out, and he said that my eardrum and everything was fine. He said it was defanitely because of the snowball that hit my ear, since the water went in the ear from the snow melting.

But it's weird, I still have the ringing noise but just in my living room. I went shopping, to school, to the bathroom, and I'm fine.

What should I do? :S
