We think so?

I thought I would ask if anyone knows why I'm getting round seethrou floaters in my eyes. It started about 2 weeks ago and I had one in my left eye. Whenever I looked in a different direction at a wall or a screen I would see it floating about. I know people get floaters normally but this is a perfect circle.

After a couple days it dissapeared and now I have one in my right eye. Its a dark circle with what looks like a little ring around it. I'm not talking big, just a smallish size, but its worrying me and I have not been able to see the optician yet as Im not in my home town atm.

I am not diabetic and have for the most part had good eye sight. I also do get little sparks in my eye sometimes, even if ive not looked at a bright light which is worrying me.

Im thankfull of any replys

For the past three or four weeks, I've been having some gas, and it's been vile. It's normal to get some really foul smelling gas after eating something bad, but this has been constant. My stools have been looking pretty soft and different as well. I keep looking online and I keep seeing Irritable Bowel Syndrome as the diagnosis. But IBS seems a little extreme for what I am experiencing. I don't have any cramping, diarrhea, or constipation. I feel totally normal and fine. Has anyone experienced this? Could it be that I need to flush out my intestines with some good ol' fashioned All Bran with psyllium fibre? or maybe some cabbage stew? Any suggestions?

I have sore elbows all the time now and have not changed my lifestyle. I noticed that it happens real bad before my period and my ankles will also hurt. Is there a hormonal reason this could be happening?

I have amazingly dry skin all of a sudden, to the point that my knees are cracking. Right now I've been using St. Ives. Any suggestions about what's the best brand to use? Preferably something I can find in a drug store.

I like jogging a lot. Everytime I have been running 5-10 kilometres, my knee seems to be filled with water and swallows up a little.
What is that? Should I really continue running twice a week? Is it "dangerous" for my knee?

Can someone please explain the difference between a Registered Nurse and a Licensed Practical Nurse, and why an LPN is considered a "lower ranking" than an RN? Just wondering, thanks.

I live in a dorm room, with 2 other roommates. Since the beginning of last semester, I have had problems with sleeping. They don't seem to be getting extremely worse, bbut everything I try does not seem to make them better. Let me explain the situation in my dorm room. Like I said, 3 people. Very small room. There are 2 lights, one overhead light, and one light over the sick and counter. These lights stay off at night once I go to sleep, but one of my roommates has a flourescent desk lamp that seems to light up the room like it is world war 3. He is also not the quietest roommate in the world. He tends to watch TV, albeit at a low volume, long after I go to bed.I use a face mask which I have purchased at Bed, bath and Beyond, and ear plugs, but they both don't seem to work. Light seeps in through mynose bridge, and the ear plugs only offer some relief. I can't seem to fall asleep. Does anyone have any suggestions? Anything at all? I am running out of ideas, and becoming sleep deprived

the ones you read about "the top pediatric neurosurgeon in the country" and "world reknowned plastic surgeon", the "leading oncologist" etc. We see a lot of doctors, and they are, for the most part, terrific, but what if I want to see the "BEST" one there is?? Where would I go to find that information?

My husband can not do it on purpose. What happens is his thumbs feel stiff for a second and then he bends them and they crack. After which, all is back to normal. This is especially true of his right thumb. His right thumb is a little shorter then the left one. I was wondering what causes this? Does his right thumb crack more often because it is shorter?

I had an IV last week for a CT scan and the tech managed to go through the vein and dump a fair amount of contrast into my arm. My entire upper arm and upper half of my lower arm swelled to double their size. The pain was horrible when the swelling wasn't making my arm numb. The area above the IV insertion point blistered and weeped for two days after the CT and now look like there will be scars. My arm feels bruised and tired/sore, but looks relatively normal. Is this normal? How long am I going to be sore? Is there anything I can do to help minimize the scarring (a friend said there wasn't much to do since the scarring is from the inside, from the contrast pushing through from deep in my arm)?
Any advise would be greatly appreciated...
