For a class project, I have planned to shut off the class lights and turn on red-light bulbs throughout out the entire hour period. Do you think that it will hurt people's eyes staring at a light red room for over an hour?

the story:
one night i took OD pills and such, when i had to wake up for school, i threw up and passed out
my mom took me to the hospital and the doctors said i had a seizure (no one knows about the pills) and its because of my bad sleeping habits (i usually get 2-3 hours of sleep on weekdays, then crash for 10+ hours on weekends)

i think the doctors are lying. now my parents wont stop bugging me about the sleeping. i've stopped with the pills, so please no "dont do drugs" lectures please and thank you =]

I’m quitting again (only my second try) and doing very well. I’m about a week and a half without smoking using the 21mg patch. I have no urge to smoke at all. I know the 21mg is like smoking a pack a day and it is helping fight the urge but if I go from 21mg to the 7mg or no patch at all will the need for nicotine come back? Has anyone moved from 21mg to no patch? Did you feel it or is the patch a placebo after a few weeks?

I lost my sense of smell years ago, but I can't really remember when - it just kind of faded away when I was about 22 or so. I don't really miss it but just wanted to go through what has happened and see what you people think. Every once in a while I can faintly smell something, however 99.9% of the time I smelling nothing - any ideas on that? Also I can still taste foods, although I have found I mostly like spicy foods now as compared to when I was younger and hated them. It’s possible that my sense of taste has dulled, however from a weight standpoint I haven't gotten the benefit of losing my sense of taste, salads still taste bad and cake still taste good. So I guess my question is since I really have no sense of smell anymore and I really don't miss it (many more things smell bad as compared to good) is there a reason why I can still taste foods fine?

I sometimes have a soreness on the inner part of my elbow. I am double jointed, and usually when I have this pain I can attribute it to bad form in weighlifting. However, I have the pain in both of my elbows today and I haven't done any weightlifting recently.

Any thoughts?

I caught a cold about 48 hours ago, and have since slept about 24 of those hours. Is there anything unhealthy about that? I get up and stretch, drink water, eat soup, take vitamins, and then go back to sleep again. I feel like I am getting stronger, but still needing rest. I am under a lot of stress with my son and his wife and their 2 baby girls having just moved back in our home for financial reasons. I think my body is telling me to give it a break. Am I on the right track?

Even when I've had a full 8 hours sleep and woken up naturally (no alarm) I can fall asleep standing up, between one word and the next during a conversation. I'll fall asleep in the car on the way into work and on the way home in the evening, on the couch an hour or so later.... Why is this happening?

I decided last night after a rough weekend, that I am quitting smoking and drinking starting today!! I have been drinking heavily since college, 5 years or so now, I have been smoking for the last 3. My life has gone to **** since I started drinking so much. cause a breakup from a 5 yr girlfriend, caused me make numerous mistakes that i wish i could take back, and even giving me a bad reputation among fam and friends lately. Any advice to help me along? anyone else gone through this? I am one of the most determined people u will ever meet once I decide something, but any additional advice would be greatly appreciated.

I have been having a problem with feeling like I can't keep my eyes open. I just feel like I want to sleep all the time. I have absolutely no energy, to do anything. And I am always in a bad mood and biting everyones head off. I sometimes feel like I could explode. I have come to the conculsion that this happens alot more about 1 week to 1 1/2 weeks prior to my period, and every month it seems to be getting worse.

My assessor isn't much help, she's a training assessor being assessed assessing me, the only advice she gives me is to read through the unit i'm doing then just do it trying to cover as many pc's and kr's as possible. Not much help at all. I'm geting very down about it. I don't know where to start. My assessor is expecting a unit to be completed and verified by christmas!!
