my sense of hearing seems bionic!! I can hear tiny squeaks from mice outside, noises the cats make when they walk, even my husband's footsteps on grass behind me from a distance. I am super-sensitive to sound! I wear glasses..do you think my auditory senses are enhanced because my vision is limited? (Not THAT limited, mind you, I can walk around without my specs.)

The last four days I have had this eye twitch. Usually it comes and goes once in a while but never does it stay this long. How can I make it stop? What causes it. Please help!

i have a very painful bump under my armpit that got there by breaking the skin intially to get the hair out...i have done that for a while now but this is the first time, there is some type of infection. maybe??? It's very swollen and red all around the it and then a zit type of thing on top. and underneath all the red, is like a small ball size that hurts to the touch. I can't go to the doctor's til tuesday...what can i do in the meantime to help it, maybe possibly go down..that way i do not have to go to the doctor's.

I spent a good part of my afternoon removing bots from my horse. I had never seen them on her until today. She's on a de-worming regimine, but gets tons of pasture time. I gave the stable a heads-up and checked a couple of the other horses. They didn't seem concerned, but I was just wondering since I removed the bots by hand.

I got water in my ear about 4 days ago. Since then I got some OTC drops that will stop it from swelling up, but no antibiotics. Now I hear my ear ringing a little and I can hear about half what I can normally hear. Does this sound like an infection that can be cured with antibiotics or should I go see a doctor? Its been 4-5 days now.

Not pregnant. Took a lot of blood work the doctors can't find anything wrong. But I'm hearing a lot of different reason for that cause (heat, to much salt, to much fluid etc...) I need some answers!!!

Prednisone and Cortisone. Are they the same thing? I'm wondering what they do and how do their side effects differ? I have a friend who is having a cortisone shot today and she is worried that it is going to make her feel bad. I told her it shouldn't but she seems to think it will be as bad as the side effects caused by the Prednisone. Any info? Thanks all.

my 20 year old sister is mad at her husband and decided to get back at him. she took 6 (200mg) vivarin tabs. im not sure if she needs to be taken to the hospital or if the caffeine will just run its course and shell just get really hyper.thanks to anyone who can help.

Not in those words but they messed up her prescription, giving her 500/8mg cocodamol instead of her normal 500/30mg, when she called to complain they told her to make up for the missing codeine by taking more tablets! luckily she called me and i warned her it was dangerous so she called back and spoke to the actual pharmacist who also warned her not to.

Has anyone else had any problems with chemists making mistakes?

I don't use this chemist anymore as they once gave me the wrong medicine for my daughter. when she was 4 months old they gave her medicine for kids aged 1-10!!! yes i have complained and there was an investigation, the official reasons for their continuous errors (there were more) was staff shortages altho personally it seemed more like staff incompetance.

I have a callous on both of my big toes. Is this due to my bunions? I am having bunion surgery on my right foot in December. Once that is healed I will have it on my left foot. How can I get rid of the callous? I've already gone through one bottle of callous remover that can be found in the foot section. I've also used a razor but haven't been able to remove it all. Help!

Our schools mascot is the warrior and our colors are red, black, and white. our homecoming parade is in 2 weeks and we have nothing. we have to have a float that goes along with HOSA. it can't be anything violent b/c it is high school.

I have had my tonsils removed as a child. I am struggling to swallow as my throat is so sore. It is extremely red and there are some white spots beside where my tonsils once were. Does anyone have any ideas what this is and how to cure? I have had it for 3 days and have taken throat sprays and lozenges which have not helped at all. Any advice would be much appreciated.
