I got water in my ear about 4 days ago. Since then I got some OTC drops that will stop it from swelling up, but no antibiotics. Now I hear my ear ringing a little and I can hear about half what I can normally hear. Does this sound like an infection that can be cured with antibiotics or should I go see a doctor? Its been 4-5 days now.

If you experience discharge, pain, inflamation or sensitivity it would be a good idea to see doctor. Take it from someone that gets ear infections every year I mean every year. Do not let this go any longer. I had an ear infection for 4 months and my ear swelled to twice it's normal size and now i do not hear like i used to in that ear.

Could be you need oral antibiotics for mid ear infection or proper prescription drops for outer ear infection. Go to the doctor; protect your hearing.

Definitely go see a doctor. Only a physician with a thorough exam can determine if you need antibiotics or not. It could be something easily fixed. Why wait and hurt??

It depends on how water got in it..if from diving, there is nothing you can do but wait..water in the ear will dry eventually..if from you scratching, go to see a doctor in county hospital..you don't have to pay it..

I think you should visit a doctor, but I'll fill you in on something if you believe in God and have faith then you'll pray about your situation and you are sure to be healed. use some consecrated olive oil. that is purchase a bottle of olive oil and take it to a pastor or your pastor and let them pray over it for you, then begin to anoint around your ear and you can dip a cotton swab in the oil to anoint the inner part of your ear. i usually visits the Dr. but since i got saved i leave it all up to Jesus because he's a healer and more. Good luck and God Bless.
